We went to chameleons a couple of weeks ago and we watched a couple, the lady was tied up and her partner was whipping etc, my wife found this a great turn on but it's not something we have had any experience with, can anyone recommend any clubs for this so we can learn the tricks of the trade |

Key piece of advice I would give is start slowly and softly with whips and build up. Ropes, always have scissors handy for a quick escape if required. The Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar often run demos and workshops, along with lots of people to chat to about all things bdsm. It used to be 3rd Sunday of the month ... Google can help you get the details on the BBB |

There is a Fetish Event at AtlantisEVOLUTION in Stoke-on-Trent on the fourth Sunday of every month 2pm to 8pm and only £10 admission for members, £10 lifetime membership fee on your first visit.
Workshops and demonstrations and lots of help and advice for those who really into whipping, flogging and much more. |

Your enquiry has two separate parts. The tying up and the whipping.
In regard to the tying, if you don't want to use rope then you can use cuffs that are simple to use.
If you are looking to learn rope then you are really lucky because the rope scene in Nottingham is taking off. Last year I went to Nottingham three times for workshops. But it does extend beyond the bedroom but they do beginners courses. Google peer rope Nottingham and varieties on that should get you there.
If you want to travel, I am told that Xstasia has a monthly peer rope.
If you want to avoid classes there are books and videos. In terms of books I would recommend Chanta Rose's 'Bondage for Sex', you can get it on Amazon and it covers the important safety aspects.
In regard to whipping I would not recommend it without having studied it. YouTube has videos but I would suggest starting with a flogger or even a dragon tail as they are more forgiving. There are videos on the safety aspects on YouTube and online.
Good Luck |

Start off with a bit of light spanking - that doesn’t require any equipment. Use scarfs as blindfolds / restraints. If you enjoy this, then definitely worth exploring more. Peer rope groups, introduction to fetish nights at clubs or demos in places like BBB are all good ideas.
Townhouse do a lot of crossover events for Swingers who enjoy a little bit of kink but aren’t full fetishists, have a look on the website |

Hi guys
Just thought that we'd give some feedback.
We had a great time at Birmingham Bizaar Bizzare Market and the Aftermath party. Both highly recommended if you are at all interested in exploring aspects of bdsm. The market had approx 30 stalls spread over 2 floors with a good range of toys, tools and clothing on offer. We spent all afternoon carefully selecting a few choice items and then headed out in to the nearby china town for a meal. Then headed back to the venue (a nightclub) for the aftermath play party. We didn't fully join in ourselves as relative newbies but were able to observe lots of different fun happening and decide what might interest us to explore. We loved the whole event and would definitely recommend (as the original responder suggested) as a good place to start your journey. |
