Women find it easier to get casual sex offline for whatever reasons they are looking.
Men also prefer wank chat with random people and so make accounts for that reason also whereas women not so much or if they do they'll find it on any site they use.

Can't speak for the younger generations, but this is what I've seen:
Most women in the outside world around my age (at least, the ones I know, and I know quite a few who came of age in the 60's and 70's) think back on their previous one night stands with shame, as something they did only while drink and stupid. Therefore, they'd never actively seek out sex that is not within a relationship.
The stigma of a sexually liberated woman runs strong!! Even today. We are supposed to be sexy but modest, alluring while chaste.
My kids view sex very differently than I did at their age. |

I suspect the vast majority of single men on this site are either cheating or fantasising about cheating and it's them that make up the numbers. I'd say just as many women cheat. But I don't think they come on this site because they maybe cheat or fantasise about cheating with men who are already in their lives. The female brain is wired very differently. It's not so much about porn. It's about erotic encounters with meaning. And that, coincidentally, is what I'm into too   |

I think more women would be on fab if they were not hounded by predatory emails, judged as being easy and insulted for saying no.

Because women, especially older women, are still conditioned to repress their sexuality, so fewer join a site like this. And if they do, being treated like an unpaid hooker or desperate slag gets old very quickly, so many leave. Plus the admin shock of having to deal with an overwhelming number of horrid messages.
That leaves those tough enough, and dedicated enough to the pursuit of hedonistic pleasure to move on past the nutters, time wasters, flakes and sheer nasty people.. |

i have made very good friends who have stayed in contact for years.
i feel blessed that they have kept me in their thoughts.

Not really the case imo, many men on here think their actions are invisible, in a way they are, they behave in a mode that would get them on the sex offenders register or a good slap in the face in real life, women come in get inundated with arseholes messaging or they have a bad experience with someone lying about age, status, size, attitude, how many people are in their home, whether or not they're cheating etc and they leave and never come back.
Imo women enjoy sex as much as men but this site is MUCH less safe for them so they go never to return.
Men, this is not so dangerous for them here. They stay.
The higher the imbalance the worse it becomes, the more flooded the inboxes get for new women, the more desperate men become to get a meet. I think it will continue to worsen and the only women will be those immune to ego pleas, with multiple rules and filters to protect themselves. |

I am absolutely NOT looking for a relationship, if feely feelings started to develop I'd be riding off on the next train out. It doesn't really matter why. However it does mean the ladies have more choice and are far more likely to find their preferred type of meet - once they have completed the arduous task of eliminating the fakes, cheats and time wasters. I've had female friends who have joined, left after a couple hours due to being hounded by men before they've even had a chance to set filters, edit profile or put pics on. They never came back to fab. More and more men joining on a daily basis and a lot less women and couples. |

I also think a lot of the woman on here know their needs a lot better generally and if their needs were basic then it's easier to find it in vanilla life, ergo the ones on here seek more than vanilla sex. A decent proportion of men on the other hand see this as as a sex site but have little to no interest in the additional needs of the women but want sex in a more basic form. Only need to see how many male halves of a couple are disregarded to deduce that they think this way. I don't think a lot of the men here understand their own needs. My reason for saying this is that on the occasions I've chatted to couples or females and I have stuck to my own interests and kinks and had to politely turn them down they seem quite shocked which suggests to me that a lot of men just say they are into or can do whatever gets them into bed. |

Our profile was set up looking for women and couples, yesterday I changed it to include men as were wanted a meet tonight and was happy for that to be with a guy.
In the 12 hours our profile was sent to include men, we have over 400 more views than normal and were constantly messaged by guys who clearly didn't read the updated part of our profile but in just for the meet.
And I have to say, the messages were ridiculous and even after replying saying a polite no, responses were being received saying but why or if you change your mind etc
I can honestly say I was embarrassed to be a guy reading them, as not one message was worth reading!
I'm not saying we are all perfect but it was an experience and can understand why there are so many negative comments about guys!
And to top it all off, the guy so keen to meet us has oh just been called to do OT....Yeah right!

I can honestly say I was embarrassed to be a guy reading them, as not one message was worth reading!

I discussed this point with a good female friend of mine tonight. She basically agrees with my view - it would never occur to her to use a swingers site as an attractive, 30 something single female. She simply has no need for it. If she wanted sex she could get it at he drop of a hat either through ordinary online dating or by going into a bar (or calling me ).
Is she repressed or inhibited? Nope, she’s an educated, accomplished, professional woman (she’s a GP in fact).
There’s no judgment on women who use this site, but the fact of the matter is that many single women simply wouldn’t consider it necessary to join a swingers site.
I reckon that goes a long way towards explaining the disparity in the numbers of men and women on here - unless you can suggest another reason? |

OK. Like others have said, conventional dating sites can't help you to arrange things like mmf, ffm for example. They cater for the 1-1 scenario. Hence why people will join a site like this. Also, I know men are also on this site and the dating sites I'm on trying to cover all bases to get sex. Most women aren't desparate on here, I think most men join because they think this is a sex site, and it will be instashag. It's not, it's a swingers site. I also think there are probably more women that use dating sites than fab as perhaps looking for more long term. |

There are millions of years of brain evolution behind this.
For women sex is more expensive evolutionary speaking. For a man sex is evolutionary very cheap and so they are programmed to want to share genetic material as wide as possible.
We've only had birth control for 60 years which is nothing in terms of humanities eveloution. So sex drives and the need to meet for sex will on a species basis be very different between the genders.
There is of course a range within that and you can get some men who want very little sex and women who wants lots, but as an average that eveloutionary predisposition is going to lead to an imbalance sexuality for some years yet.
Hence why it's perceived women can get casual sex off fab far easier than men. It's because there are so many men on and off fab who are primed to be available. |

I think each gender pursues sex differently, as well as wanting different things. Women are also still influenced by our culture which disapproves more of women having casual sex than men. Sex still isn't that well approved of, with it being tainted by archaic attitudes of it being shameful - these attitudes are semi-hidden but strong and especially directed at women. This background limits what people will permit themselves to consider.
Men here aren't that confident about their sexual choices - the internet les them operate secretly. Women explore more broadly Imo, amongst people they encounter in the real world.
Fab offers men more opportunities fitted to their lifestyle potentially too - their free time can be more abundant. But just because the men are here in greater number, it doesn't give most the sex they want - in terms of volume and what it is, generally. The men here aren't specifically wanting swinging, it just happens to be one of the places they've tried.
It's lomgstanding morality pressures that have kept the numbers of women suppressd though, to the greatest extent

I'm not meeting at the moment and I was offered a social with hopefully it will lead to an eventual meet. No sir otherwise I would put social and see x |
