Don't think anyone will tell you if they contracted any stds, that would definitely reduce their meet possibilities. |

Some do, some don't. I don't know anyone who's caught anything (or admitted to it) personally, but I did read about someone who put it on their profile as a way of potentially notifying people, which I thought was brave.
I never bareback. |

If there was no pregnancy or STI risk I would love to be bareback fucked at every meet, however being a realist I’m afraid it’s wrap it up before you slap it up with no excuses.
Only hubby gets to bareback me. I’m gutted but you can’t risk it. |

To barebacking, or STIs? There's a running bareback thread. And if memory serves one person did put a notice about contracting something on their profile as a warning/ for public health reasons. |

There's sensible barebacking and reckless barebacking. Sensible involves not doing it on the first few meets, making sure you both trust each other are clean, perhaps getting tested if you really want to be safe, then agreeing on a period of exclusivity, after which you stop barebacking. Reckless is just shoving your dick in everything and anything no questions asked |

I caught chlamydia the second time I ever had sex. Not swinging; literally the second person I ever slept with as a teen, so I’ve always been careful unless reeaallly d*unk, so that isn’t really the case on meets.
Also, when I’m d*unk now, I’m lucky to even get a semi. The joys of youth have up and left in that department.

I love cum as much as the next person but not worth the risk but having said that I do have oral sex unprotected! So I guess in that case I do do bareback! |

For me it’s a no-brainer. If you want to be sure of staying clean, use a condom. If the girl or guy you’re going to meet says they prefer it without, ask yourself whether that person is worth the risk. |

I have said it before and I will say it again.
If people were more honest about barebacking, it would be easier for everyone to make an informed choice.
There are one or two profiles about who insist on bareback as a preference. Now either you can assume that anyone who has met them has been bareback, but you cannot assume that anyone who has met them displays a veri from them.
It is better to assume that everyone barebacks and work out how best to protect yourself from that.
However, the more we villify and marginalise those who habitually bareback, the more underground it goes. You only have to ask any bi-curious Male or couple how many bi guys crawl out of the woodwork (especially Friday after a few pints) who are straight on their profiles. |

People here generally are educated and test at above national standard levels. Wherever you meet, there are risks and you can take many preventative measures. I've been here for about 10 years and on the swinging scene and caught nothing but tested in some cases monthly.
Educate yourself and decide your own approach, potentially varying tactics depending on your style of relationship |

Wrong. Couples aren't God's whose every whom should be catered for. Only you can protect your sexual health. If they want bareback and you don't then your decision is paramount. |

In our experience, most blokes will try for bareback if they can. . Essentially because
(1) it feels nicer
(2) they are willing to take the risk of an std avd
(3) cock rules brain
Conversel, because, for women, condoms make little difference to how it feels, they are less willing to take the risk.
However, most men will not say they are happy with bareback as they know it would reduce their chances. |

A couple of months ago a woman asked me to come over and fuck her without having met first. It sounded like an exciting gamble until she stipulated it had to be bareback. At which point it became more like idiotic Russian roulette. I turned her down.
Maybe I'm not like most guys. But yes I fantasise about skin on skin, who doesn't... But I don't act on it. I reserve bareback solely for situations where there's a bit of trust and exclusivity |

I have had unprotected sex with long term partners on here.
Initially I use protection and wait for a current, mutual clear test before then taking the gloves off
When I was meeting I would be tested every 10 to 12 weeks and this was reassuring to all parties concerned.
If a partner was more active than myself I would use protection again, if they hadn't.
Again until a mutual clear test was in.
However, the degree of trust that this requires is quite a rare thing and certainly only for the exceptions.
How can anyone risk otherwise and still respect the health of themselves and, more importantly, those that they play with?

My wife loves bareback but she only does this with me & her long term lover.
Other guys she meets is always protected - she always makes this clear before meeting & even then most guys will try to slide in bare!
It would be nice if she could have bareback fun with all the guys she meets but it’s not worth the risk. |

If you’ve ever seen anyone become ill from HIV/AIDS then you’d always wear a condom.
A good friend was infected by a blood transfusion years ago. Had to take a cocktail of 32 tablets every day. He passed away aged 43.
Not a pleasant way to die. |

A lady I used to chat to told me that I guy she played with (and still does) gave her Chlamydia. Despite being hot as hell, he's now blocked (as he's messaged once or twice). Is bareback really worth it? |

I absolutely agree with this however, just to clarify, HIV is now controllable and is classed as a chronic illness these days. Sufferers can expect a near to normal life expectancy. Gone are the days of having to take cocktails of drugs; they are now replaced with 2 or 3. |

Bareback does feel nicer but I made that mistake a while back and caught an STi which thankfully was treatable. I did post a warning on my profile and messaged everyone I could find since my last clear check. Lesson learned, I never do it now. |

As 1 in 12 people have had chlamydia according to statistics and the rate of barebackers on here then I can guarantee a fair few people will have contracted a STI. What's the actual answer your looking for OP? Maybe check out sexwise website and get the real facts on sexual health |

Just because there are ways to mitigate risk of HIV transmission doesn't mean that I want any of the others, either, particularly given the rise of antibiotic resistant strains. |

Prep has so many side effects and it can leave users unwell. Also it is for hiv only and it's bloody expensive to the NHS. Should only be used for people in a relationship with another person with known hiv |

I concur..
I think best bet is just wrap it up.. and the only other option if you must bareback is watch whoever you want to bareback with and yourself for 3 months checking up before you do it.. but then how many people will actually wait 3 months |

PrEP is actually very well tolerated, as with all medication there can be side effects. PrEP (Truvada) is expensive agreed.... Generic versions are becoming available though. |

There’s a PrEP medication that people who are at risk of being infected can take which reduces the risk of infection if not using condoms. |

Consider that condoms aren't 100% but reduce chance of stds by 95%
Yes breakages and accidents happen and what not but you're less likely to catch one if you only have sex with people who only use condoms
Think of this as depiction of risk in easiest explanation I can think of where you can actually comprehend risks. lowest number is least risk as there only way to have 0 risk is to not have sex. Highest number of course highest risk
1 being condom users who never bareback 10 being barebackers who use condoms when asked
1+1=2 1+10=11 10+10=20
1+1+1=3 1+1+10=12 10+10+10=30 1+10+10+10=31
Even when using a condom but you engage sexually with someone who bareback but use a condom there's increased risk. Due to breakages and accidents.
Etc etc so imagine a bareback gangbang?
And every person who bareback you meet as 1 to 1 who may have barebacked 5 people and they barebacked 5 people
So your just about to have sex with someone who is essentially carrying an std from any of the 25 other people.
It's a daisy chain.
I'd rather have the lowest risk, having sex with people who never bareback.
Oral sex has the least std transmission rate which is why most NHS clinics do not provide dental dams to save money on the NHS
Lesbians have the lowest rate of stds infections.
Increased risk of oral infection is when you have a gum/oral infection, cut in the mouth etc making your mouth susceptible to an std.
Most common oral and permanent infection and considered an std due to area of the body that's been infected is cold sores most of which people caught as a child. Yet people still kiss others who have an active coldsore you wouldn't want them giving you oral sex with a coldsore! Let alone kissing them sharing drinks or the like.
Play smart keep safe.

Reagardless of your play preferences, EVERYONE on here should be getting tested at least every three months.
Use condoms all the time? Doesn’t matter. Go get tested.
Don’t use condoms ever? Still go get tested, but preferably every 3-4 weeks. |

For those who haven’t been to a std clinic. They are surprisingly friendly and very understanding. You do not have to give your real name, just remember the name you give when you ask for results. There is no shame in going and no embarrassment and it’s just like going into your doctors. If your local one is too local then go to one out of town. So whether you like BB or skins do make the effort to pop in. The results are normally ready in a few days. |
