My boyfriend has some occasional pre arranged meets with ladies from FAB and i try to check them out if i can. One lady he wants to meet locally has some clear lumps around her vagina from her photos and I am worried he might catch something even if he wears a condom because his balls will touch them. Can anyone advise?

Condoms only mimimise risk,.not eliminate it.

You can either get condoms that completely cover his balls or if you are unsure, just don't go there.

There may be an innocent explanation for her rash. Why not ask her?

Advise? Get a new boyfriend!

Seriously though, you can't consider someone's sexual health from a photograph and I'd be considering my partner's judgement if he was meeting someone who's genitals were covered in carbuncles!

Ask the lady or ask him not to meet her.

Sometimes lumps around the vagina and anus are NOT STDs. I have skin tags around my....'lips' and bumhole from 'Chub Rub'. I've been to a Dr and had many tests and have been told this 100% that they cannot be transmitted from contact.

Some people aren't as upfront and may get offended about it when asked....you have to weigh it up and discuss with your boyf. Dreamcatcher Xx

Yep touching infected areas or even genital areas can potentially infect

I've had a few sti's, they didn't seem that bad to be honest. Couldn't see what all the fuss was about. You wouldn't not go shopping just in case you caught flu would you?

OP there are other medical conditions that can cause "lumps" around the genital area that are not sti's. I have a condition called hidradenitis suppurativa which can affect the groin, anal and genital area, the armpits and under the breasts. It is not contagious and I've had it since the age of 12. I wouldn't consider meeting when I have a flare - it's too painful, but I do have plenty of unsightly scars and bumps down below.

If you and/or him are concerned just ask her. Be tactful to try and minimise causing offense and be prepared for her to get upset and block you. If she has a non sti medical condition she will tell you - I would and I would be happy to show you the results of my most recent sti tests.

But based on probability, it's a lot more likely to be genital warts than hidradenitis suppurativa

I also have hidradenitis and have recognized it on people's pictures also, I also have skin tags, you are right there are many reasons for lumps/bumps. If someone (tactfully) asked what a mark or lump was then I would have no problem explaining, but as it's nothing contagious then it's not worth explaining every medical condition you have before meeting someone unless it could impact on your play, say with pain in a specific area.

I don't know the statistics on how prevalent warts are but HS is known to affect at least 1% of the population but is thought to actually affect 5%. Many people suffer in silence and never seek medical assistance due to embarrassment because of the areas of the body it affects. Most people with the condition will have encountered someone who treats them as if they are riddled with sti's - some people can be very unkind.

Shaver's rash, goose bumps? Surely noone would post pics of infected genitals?

Somewhere over the Rainbow

I get bumps from shaving and ingrowing hairs They are very common Genital warts look like little cauliflowers lol. My daughter was unfortunate enough to catch them. A year of freezing them off then a year abstaining from sex . Often sti’s Don’t produce symptoms so you would never know if you or someone else had say chlamydia or gonorrhoea. Herpes though, can still be passed on even though there is no sign of an outbreak. It passes by skin to skin contact and can lay dormant for a long time. It depends on where the virus is in the groin, if it’s covered by a condom or not. Condoms don’t protect 100% either. In this scene I was advised by my sexual health clinic to be tested every 12 weeks minimum

Can I tell the joke about the woman who was accused by a wife that she was saying her husband had a wart on the end of his dick?
