+I will (hopefully) soon be moving into a place on my own, and if I get the place I have in mind, I'm looking to host some parties. This is a tentative step To see what I can do to make them as successful as possible. So, in my mind they would broadly fall into 4 categories that people may want to go to. Couples who are both straight, couples with bi female,and couples where both are bi. I've never tried BDSM but I may host a couple to see if there is anything there for me. Baring in mind what I have previously said, happy to have 3 tips from people who have been to ,or hosted parties. I will be asking questions in the future, with variations on the theme, so i don't mess it up! |

We have been to loads of parties.
I wouldn't bother trying to dictate who comes by their sexual orientation, it will be hard enough getting people along to a "new" hosts parties as it is.
Invite way more than you want, many will be no-shows, especially at the beginning, when you are an unknown quantity.
Try to mix it up a little, it will be mainly couples, but try and get a few singlies of both sexes there too.
Another point about sexual orientation is, many go to parties and want to try something new, on a number of occasions "straight" ladies have ended up being "corrupted" by bi ladies (totally willingly!), so again make sure there is a nice balance of both bi and straight ladies.
Try to get to local socials and clubs to "network" build up a friendbase, then float the idea, people are much more likely to attend if they know you.
Plan well in advance, mail those you think you might get along with, and ask them if they have any suggestions for other fun people that might want to come along, again, people will be more likely to attend if they know a few others who are too.
Provide soft drinks and mixers, and ask guests to bring a contribution to the buffet.
And lastly, stay sober... you need to be the "host with the most", rather than some d*unken letch who pawed at the ladies and puked on the guys lol. |
