I Just Did An Experiment

About 2 hours ago I messaged 10 women on this site. I read their profiles and mixed up my messages to match what I felt about them at the time and they were all polite, well thought out messages. The women were varied in age, location, turn ons and attractiveness.

Not one message was even read...

How do you know they've not been read? You can mark a message unread.

I look at a profile before I even read a message.

There are certain things I look for, and certain things that would put me off reading & replying.

You have 15 of those on display.

Getting yourself out there, at clubs, as socials, is for sure the way to go about getting meets which it seems you have done. Hopefully more guys will take note from this thread and do the same.

I always try to respond to messages, even if it's a 'no thanks' message. If I am really not interested in the guy I will delete but that's quite rare. Xx

I agree, I'm not doing bad at all... considering I also use Tinder and have far more luck on that. It's just typing out long well thought out messages only for them not to be read is quite frustrating. I'd be totally respectful and leave it if they replied with a "no thanks." Infact, I'd rather them tell me "no thanx, you're too ugly" than not even read it.

Maybe they didn't actually look at the site at all, maybe they opened their browser and the site refreshed while they were opening another tab, which I'm sure happens to be sometimes.

I don't think you can draw any conclusions from your investigation. I do know guys expecting an immediate response is annoying.

Yes they are, you can go straight to the profile without opening the message or mark it as unread after opening it.

I've been here a really long time and the only thing I can say is...don't get hung up on it...It's the way of Fabs.

If you think about it too much you'll either go insane or leave, possibly both

People use Fabs, profiles and messages in different ways. Get yourself to some group socials, clubs, etc, and things will build from there.

Meeting from messages, in my experience, is the least successful way to do it; it does work, but you will be sending a significant amount of messages without reply..as sure as water is wet.

Not really, I mark mine unread if I don't have the time or inclination to deal with them there and then. Otherwise you get grief - I see you've read my message, what do you think, why haven't you replied etc etc

I agree with this - once you've sent your message, delete it from your sent folder then it won't cause stress/anxiety/anger blah blah blah...
