How safe is unprotected sex
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hi, I have had recently an offer from a cpl I played before with, to cream pie her cunt. More than that, they also said they would love to ask more guys to fill her up with cum - basically gangbang her.
The idea sound sexy, but its far too dangerous for me to participate... or maybe I am not right... Going through the profiles there is lots of people having unprotected sex, like traveling the country in a van allowing anyone to come and fuck themselves. So maybe it is not that dangerous after all... you can see profiles beig here for years having unprotected sex with others... and they are seems to be fine. I am not going to join that gangbang party anyway, but what is the truth, what is the chance of being infected? |

Exactly that.
You aren’t to know the chances since you don’t know these people. The risk could be high, or you may just get lucky.
It’s not for me in any way shape of form but it clearly is for many! |

I am probably going to be shot down in flames here but here is my pennysworth..
I think the whole risk factor is totally exaggerated and in most cases treatment is available..I believe sexual guilt plays a part in the fear factor and certainly increases the anxiety levels which in turn affect the immune system.
Seems like we have one group of people who just get on with it and enjoy a lifestyle which may include one or two risks and another group who appear hypochondriac like almost bordering on hysterical, to the extreme of insisting on protection for oral sex etc..Thank goodness a lot of people on here act fairly responsibly and enjoy themselves without the neurosis factor.

It is 100% safe.
It is also 100% dangerous.
It just depends which chamber is opposite the barrel. |

If someone wants to insist on protection for oral surely it’s their body & their choice? I wouldn’t call that hysterical.
I much prefer oral without a condom, but some people don’t want to take the risk and that is entirely up to them. |

Thing with STIs is they don't all have visible symptoms and the damage is being done unknown to the carrier. They might think they're clean so have unprotected sex and inadvertently are spreading the STI. Some STIs can make people infertile and they wouldn't know unless they were tested. |

I still hope for some profile sayi g something like... oh for many years we have been playing with no protection and we are just fine... or maybe someone saying something opposite from they own experience of having unprotected sex. |

You don't know the history of any of these people op and who else they have been with.
They might have had numerous infections etc,you are an adult and know the risks yourself.
If you want to ahead the thats your choice, but is it really worrh it?. |

I study other people’s verifications when they message etc and if I see they’ve play unsafe I delete them. Not a totally fail safe way but if it doesn’t say safe sex on your profile then it’s not for me.
I bareback with one person my hubby and that’s it. |

It’s completely personal choice, if all parties are happy to take the risk then that’s up to them.
STIs are on the rise because people have taken the lax attitude that if they catch something they will just take a pill and clear it up. Not all diseases are that easily dealt with.
Then there are the ladies who may want to just get pregnant, they’ll tell you they’re on contraception and you won’t have a say in whether or not she keeps the baby. You might not find out for years to come (or ever) that you’ve got a child out there.
Personally, I would never take the risk. An evening’s fun will never be worth risking my health or sanity for.
Unprotected sex is just between me and my Husband, the only person I trust with my sexual health.

Break it down to simple logistics...
You sleep with one person, they have slept with 10 others, each of those has slept with 10 others... Thats 100 people in one circle from there on ot grows even more exponentially. So BB might be "appealing" how many others have been there before.
Now look at statistics,500,000 positive tests (ish) in the last 12 months... How many are not being tested?
Do the maths, work it out, get tested often even if its for an all clear every time.

The biggest infection from STI’s are through oral sex. That’s because people generally have unprotected oral sex and more have protected vaginal sex.
A recent programme possibly on Channel 4 highlighted this fact.
Although. I prefer oral sex without and protection |

99.9% chance of infection if you bareback with an infected person.
"
You should not quote statistics unless they are from a reputable source. No STD is so infectious that the probility of transmission is that high or anywhere near it. I'm not promoting bareback sex but equally I won't promote opinions that are wrong.
Below is an extract from the website Healthline.com which gives some statistical data on the probability of contracting HIV and as you'll see the odds are much much lower than you believe.
Having sex with a person living with HIV increases the risk of contracting the virus. HIV may be transmitted both anally and vaginally during sexual intercourse. According to the CDC, the risk of transmission for receptive penile-vaginal sex is 8 per 10,000 exposures. For insertive penile-vaginal sex, the risk of transmission lowers to 4 out of 10,000 exposures.
Receptive anal intercourse with a partner who is HIV-positive is the sex act that’s most likely to transmit the virus. For every 10,000 instances of receptive anal intercourse with a partner who has HIV, the virus is likely to be transmitted 138 times.
Insertive anal intercourse poses a lower risk, with 11 transmissions per 10,000 exposures. All forms of oral sex are considered low risk. Biting, spitting, throwing bodily fluids, and sharing sex toys all have such a low risk of transmission that the CDC considers the risk “negligible.”
==============
Other STD's can be more infectious but still nowhere near 99.9% |

A lot of people don’t realised that outside of the body, HIV is very fragile and won’t survive very long. Hepatitis C can live up to 3 weeks, but only in the ‘right’ conditions.
It has blown me by some of the knowledge and misconceptions of STDs on this thread and others that broach the subject. The best advice would be to seek medical opinion. |

Been on and off the scene for near 20 years now.
Always been tested often and always had clear results. I dont worry about it. But i do take my sexual health seriously.
Should i get something it seriously reduces the amount of people i should contact.
And yes i am aware that certain STIs can remain dormant for longer time periods than others which again is why i get tested often |

In group scenarios you can catch things whilst having protected sex.. it's very easily done.
In our OP unprotected sex should be kept between people who you can trust to minimise the risk. |

The problem is you can't have a sensible discussion about bareback without people who have absolutely no sense of proportion crying "russian roulette".
Russian Roulette give a 1 in 6 chance of dying. What is the chance of dying through shagging a random? |

Depends on the firearm you're using
There was a thread a little while ago that seemed fairly civil for the most part about people who prefer bareback. It might be working looking that up OP.

Herpes can lie dormant, and can't be detected apart from very expensive tests if there isn't an outbreak. A large % of those carrying the virus do so without ever displaying any symptoms. Even if someone turns up with a clean bill of health certificate it won't include herpes.
There are now strains of gonnorhoea that are highly resistant to antibiotics.
HIV is a statistically minor risk, but it is still out there, and if someone is prolific it may not be caught if under the incubation period where it would show on a test. That is if they get the HIV test. |

HepB - We NEVER bareback & regular test. We've been advised to do HepB course by nurse when she phoned yesterday with our all clear results as bloods showed no immunity on our latest results. Are others aware of this? NHS Postal kits are only fingerprick & not full bloods so this is first we'd been told about HepB & lifestyle. 1st injection booked for Monday. |

I had a friend who passed away two years ago at the age of 44 from HIV/AIDS. For years he had to take a cocktail of drugs to help suppress the virus. He had to take drugs to counteract the side effects. Over 30 tablets every day and he ended up so I’ll he could barely function.
He was infected through a blood transfusion but it’s not a pleasant death and certainly wasn’t much of a life for him.

I totally agree with your comment.
Also most people have no symptoms at all. This is why everyone needs to get checked out at least 4 times a year. Not home kits. Must be at gum clinic. As they test for example for ghonnerea of the throat, anus, urethra etc.. |

Think about it, barebackers tend to have many partners unprotected. They all say they are clean because their last STI check came back clean. That was three months ago, how many more barebacks have they had since then? How will you trace these people when you do get an infection?

Plus one, in fact I almost posted that exact same Eastwood quote yesterday. That's what it boils down to.
I watched a friend die of HIV/AIDS in the early 90s. She was 'on the game' and that's how the poor soul contracted it. Not a pleasant death, and had a HUGE impact on my mindset as a young man.

I'm stunned that so many people seem to confuse a statistical possibility with absolute certainty. I have no views one way or the other on BB, however to conflate russian roulette (1:6 with certain death as the consequence) with bareback is logically ludicrous. Too much emotion involved. |

I guess you could look at it as a sign of trust, that they have given you the heads up first? But then again, the fact they invited several men? Surely they havent all proved they are trustworthy? |

"Hi, I have had recently an offer from a cpl I played before with, to cream pie her cunt.
You are asking that question at your age. Surely not? This has to be a wind up. Lol.
Can't believe you even started this thread with such a question.

The risk comes in 2 parts: the chance of an std being transmitted if the other person has one and the chance of the other person having an std.
The safer you are as an individual, the safer everyone else is you come into contact with.
The idea that it's your own body and therefore your own choice only applies if you never have sex with anyone else again.
Imagine using that argument with someone driving dangerously in a car, it's not that they might hit a brickwall and kill themselves that I care about, it's that they might crash into someone else or cause a pile up aka drug resistant bacteria. |

There is a risk with any bareback sex, all you can do is keep that risk as low as possible. We are bareback only couple and are very selective who we play with, we don't play often at all |

"It always boggled my mind how many women are willing to allow bareback. I always thought they were the sensible ones but I can count on half a hand how many women have insisted on condoms. " that's 2.5 then

This seriously freaks me out.
I have a friend who works ine the GUM clinic.
PROTECTED SEX IS BEST - THATS THAT.
Why it freaks me out (after my friend telling me this) you can get chlymidia and gonorrhoea (and more) by blow jobs and oral!
So you can still get things from protected sex.
If you don't use a condom or dam when doing oral.
Play safe, firstly check veris and see the history who you are playing with. Then I check out a level again with who they played with.
Secondly check with the person.
Ask questions.
With the couple you are playing with.
Be careful what you wish for.
It all sounds like a great idea at the time, but .... after doing it .... the reality may not be half as fantastic, naughty, sexy, out there and glamourous.
Its not like there isnt a site full of naughty kinky f***ers (you're on here) for you to message and get sex with people that are safer for you.
My friend also says jokingly there should be licenses in order for people to have sex and also to have children. 2 separate licenses lols.
Just like driving.
People can be clueless in parenting and sex stuff.
Both are serious things and need some research and learning.
Go research your own question.

"Don't forget you can get herpes from an asymptomatic carrier. They have zero symptoms but shed virus constantly.
Also throat cancer, cervical cancer etc it's not for the faint of heart.
Sods law means if I did it is probably get once yes but all the other scruffy fuckers would at off Scot free!"
I don't think anyone sheds herpes constantly!!
I think you're over reacting to that one.
But herpes is one that you can get by having protected sex and you will have it for ever wether you have visible outbreaks or just shed. Ultimately it's cold sores on your genitals. It's not going to kill you. Nobody gets hysterical about having one on their mouth, just pop to the shop and get Zovirax or similar. You don't go out of your way to kiss someone with a cold sore but you don't treat them like some disease ridden lepar either. Neither do you ask someone if they've ever had a cold sore but they can still shed without knowing!

Threads like this crack me up. So many throwing figures about but have no clue what they are talking about. The information is easily available and accessible. Same as the argument that shaved is more hygienic than hairy. Absolute rubbish but don't let the facts stand in the way of an argument. |

I was on another swingers forum and a couple wanted a multiple creampie session for the wife, but they had the details of a private clinic where you go and get tested for about £80 and its same day or next day results. They were only playing with guys who had it done.
Bareback is just too risky with strangers, between superbugs and AIDS, its not worth the risk for me.

"I had a friend who passed away two years ago at the age of 44 from HIV/AIDS.
Your body, your decision. As Clint Eastwood says ‘Do you feel lucky?’"

The fact your asking on here rather than just going for it says a lot.
Can you honestly say that post the event you won't be worrying if you caught something and have to go get tested?
Hardly seems worth it for a few mins of fun to spend the next few weeks wondering if you got something, and potentially passed it onto someone else that you play with. |

Not many people get AIDS these days (besides the third world) as the medical advancements in treating HIV have come a long, long way and people with HIV can live a long life, almost to their life expectancy. |
