The camera never lies.

The camera never lies... and therein sits my problem. Frankly, I'd like it to help me out for once.
My profile photos are mainly hand held selfies. I've managed to smile (that's really hard for me). I've got different locations. But I think they look a bit samey. Ok for Facebook but nothing grabbing.
I'm thinking of showing off my rotund figure, at least some of it. I'm nervous about it but I feel it's something to do.
So what makes a good sexy male photo - fit body is not an answer as not everyone has one. Selfies won't cut it as they won't show the full body. |

Selfie stick or you can get cheap tripods on amazon.
As for what makes a male picture attractive.. well I guess that's subjective. I personally prefer to see a fully clothed body. A well dressed man, shirt tucked in, well fitted trousers etc etc. I think your pictures are good OP. They show your face clearly. The lack of dick pictures is also good although some people like that.

As others have said OP use the timer or voice activation feature on your phone or tablet and prop it up against something - it's what I do, take a load pick what I think are the best ones and then crop an/or black and white/vignette them for effect - it's amazing what you can achieve with a little creativity.
Also, believe it or not, most of us don't have perfect bodies with chiselled Adonis-like features - it's a question of finding what works for you.

i can't agree .a PIC tells me nothing about the person. I've met some nice lookers who turn out to be anything but nice.if you want to judge a book by its cover fine .but its not for me. Its what's inside that counts |

There’s nothing much wrong with your pics, at least they’re in focus and not cocl pics. Perhaps you could do with some variety though, so unless you want a friend to take shots you should invest in a selfie stick |

Hey you can only work with what you've got but personally if you havnt got the figure for it don't show it off just wear a nice suit theirs someone out there for everyone, personality is the key |

Seriously though, photos can be so deceiving. I take mine at flattering angles to show the best of me, so people think I'm a lot slimmer than I am. |

The camera definitely lies, even if no filters or photoshop is not used. Us ladies are very good at finding angles that are more flattering to our bodies, I am guessing it's why I have a friend that has told me that most of the women he has met are bigger than he expected... Me included I would imagine lol |

Bring honest you do look older, might make people wonder that the rest may be fake?
Maybe get it into the conversation early on that you look more mature than your age, or that you had a hard paper round.
Looks aren't everything, in fact usually they're very little other than a first attraction thing. |

I have to agree.
And this isn’t to judge or be nasty OP. But there are a lot of men on here who lie about their age and use old pictures and people may well be assuming that about you too wrongly.
A selfie stick would be a good idea, or if you don’t want to buy one prop it up onto something and use the self timer feature if you have one. This is what I do for my photos.
You don’t have to go naked, you could wear a suit, or boxers, or even a towel wrapped round the lower end of you. Make them tasteful!
Have a look at some other guys profiles that have a similar body type to you and are of similar age and take inspiration from them.

Irrespective of your real age OP. At the end of the days it’s really going to come down to your photos, initial messages and location and accommodating
You can control three of those. I make sure I sent the best photo I can. One suited and booted looking smart and then a full body torso. I never send cock pics unless requested.
I make sure my initial message fits their requirements and that’s about it.
As I head North of 40 in a year I will change and adapt.
It’s all about positivity and networking. |

I considered lying about my age as people say I do not look it, but when you start out by lying, you're on a loser.
I am only looking to meet with my partner on our couple profile, but it is an uphill journey (not in a pleasant way!) |

Get someone to take them for you is the best answer, take lots then sift through them choosing the ones that you like and use those.

Tbh I dont mind a cock shot or two but not loads! Nice arse pic maybe?
Guys often dont put pics up , especially on couples profiles but they are just as important I think?  |

Photos are inevitably better if you are relaxed. Usually smiles are inviting. Aim to get others taking loads of photos of you when you are relaxed and not posing. The posed facial look from most people is little like their natural expressions.
Get dozens of pics and use a tiny fraction of them. |

Mmmm I am okay with a camera and I have to say that, whilst it may not lie, it can show you in a complete different way depending on angle, available light, direction of light, time of day, background, etc.
So, my advice is to place your phone in different places, use the time delay button, if your phone has the feature, and take a variety of pics in different poses until you are happy with the results. Oh, and make sure the background is not too cluttered if possible.

I agree completely I only use my phone camera, sometimes with the reverse image lens so I can see exactly what is in the image, or otherwise prop the phone up as others have said before, and utilise the timer function. I take more images than necessary, and delete those I don’t like. I never use filters or photoshop (too much faffing about and misleading in my opinion). Just post whatever pics you do, see what gets you noticed and go from there. Have fun with it |

Timer! I take all my own shots ... set up takes a while and each timed go takes three pics. I usually can manage decent pictures in two attempts but the set up can take a while ... know what you are aiming for before you start! Good luck |
