Thats horrible. Maybe close your account and start up new with a few changes, e.g. slightly different location. If the person wants to out you they will anyway,but might stop them messaging you on here. |

This: close account, wait a few weeks, start again with no face pic and different wording and move where you’re based and block all newbies. |

It counts as harassment and is illegal. It could see them inside.
If you are still in contact with them try to glean some useful information that could help pin down where and when they recognised you and maybe give a clue as to who they are.
Of course if they just recognised your face pics or home/workplace (e.g.like the school location of one young lady whom I had to caution re discretion recently) then you won't have much to glean from them.
Make sure you get a copy/screengrab of all their messages/content/time/username etc before going to the police.
Remember if they go UNLOS all messages will be deleted pronto making things much more difficult for you to show the problem to the authorities.
Losing the messages won't affect your "outer" as they will (if telling the truth) still know who you are and could just as easily return under a new profile. |

Totally don’t condone that someone is doing this, especially if it equally results in any other third parties becoming involved.
However you state you are married - and I take it your partner isn’t aware, hence your concern. Perhaps maybe you need to focus on that element first, and delete your profile and sort out those elements(which may equally calm your accuser) before returning to here, either as a proper single guy or as a couple.
Remaining on here with what’s going on along with clearly some marriatal issues is going to end in disaster for many.
It will actually be a challenge to prove harresment(and black mail means they must equally be asking for something specific, so that be easier to charge(unless they asking you to be honest to your wife) especially if the harrasers cause is defence of your partner.
If you ousted (however much cause you may have) you just going to look like the bad guy. |

It partly depends what they have stated that they know about you.
Decide to use the police when/if appropriate. They will give good confidential advice too.
Reports to admin always get action though it may not be the action you would like or expect. Sometimes it requires deeper evidence, other reports or monitoring.
Consider hiding your profile for a long period.
