Fake profiles

I can’t believe that there are still so many fake profiles, this site would be so much better without them, it would be so simple to do aswell, all admin would have to do is impose a rule that you have to photo verify yourself when you are setting up your profile, why do they not do it? |

It's poison we've had some hot female which end up to be men lol 1 was an ex boyfriend so he had plenty of pics and video of the girl. We have kik and ask for live pic now the only way to tell if it's a girl lol |

This other site we are on , every day there are new profiles from ladies..the pictures are always face ones that look too good to be true and professional and the wording is pretty much the same..just out of a relationship looking for fuck buddies..or sex meets and so on..the guys swoop on them like flies around shit and comment..but as soon the new profile owner works out it's a paid site to access most the email features and so on and you can not post links, they never come back on site ..just makes me chuckle that the guys think with their cocks and nothing else and are so gullible |

Let me build on my point, you can photo verify yourself on here, which is given as an option, and the rules for doing so are not blurred, write your username and fabswingers.com on a piece of paper, you have to have a picture taken with face and torso clearly holding the paper with both hands, this should be used by admin not as option for users, but as a necessity, the said picture would then never be made public, so that they could not be duplicated |

OP I think if it’s a question of admin filtering out non-photo verified profiles, it’s probably a good point. However, if you are choosing to receive messages or send messages to these profiles, that’s within your control. The profiles you feel admin should not be allowing on Fab, just filter out yourself. Us personally we don’t care if those fake profiles are there or not, because they can’t message us and we wouldn’t be interested if they did.

I know it’s quite sad that there’s so many men that are truly that gullible, it makes me wonder how desperate some people are, on both sides of it, I just also find it odd how so many men set up these fake profiles so they have have a naughty conversation with a man lol |

Yes this method confirms whether whether the profile is male, female or couple. It doesn’t out those who won’t turn up. Meet verifications are better for that. |

Of course you’re right, and that is an easy thing as a user to do, but would it not be a much more pleasant experience if you didn’t have to do that, never mind the expense it must incur due to sever speed and storage costs of the data lol |

I totally agree, which is why I also made the point that the picture would not be made public, not just as a safeguard from people cloning them but for personal interest of the site user |

But all we did was put a filter on to block non-verified profiles from contacting us. I supppose admin could have done that for us, but it was no trouble setting the filters ourselves. |

There's ways of editing pics so the theory that anyone whose photo verified is genuine isn't a valid one. Also I could get myself photo verified (pic is kept private) then I could upload pics of myself that are 10+ years old and put them public. Everyone would then think wow she looks fab for 34 but really those pics are from when I was a lot younger ........ I've had a man that done this to me, when we met it was clear he was at least 10years older than any pic he'd sent me or had displayed on his profile  |

There are fake profiles all over the internet. Fab is no different. You can get photo verified by having a naked body picture.... That just makes you the right sex. The pictures posted afterwards could still be faked. Better to just spot the signs. It's hard to police a site so meticulously, when there are so many users. The report button comes in handy, if you see one, to alert admin  |

Am I assuming, the definition of ‘fake’ means a profile which states the wrong gender? Not to be confused with a timewaster, definition being correct gender but leads people in about meeting when they have no intention of meeting?

I think the photo have to be an reasonable representation of what someone looks like, but I don’t think the date has to tally up axactly. We have a few photos that came from our photos on the computer and not taken speciallly for our profile. So they may be a year or 2 older that when we uploaded to Fab. But I don’t think we are misleading anyone.

It’s a bit of a minefield now at times & the site has definitely gone down since i 1st joined,
but you have to out the idiots, there is still fun to be had... it sometimes just takes a touch longer to find genuine people but they are out there.
When I chat to new people then i do a google image search on there pics then find they are fakes then you get no longer a user.....hmm

The most annoying part is how far the fakers will go,
Like arranging to meet only to let people down it costs them time and sometimes money If traveling.

Too easy to get around, I could for example pay a small fee and get a cam girl to pose with a piece of paper, I could edited a pic adding a piece of paper. We always say the best way of working out if someone’s real or not is by using your own instincts, if your gut tells you something’s off it usually is..... |

Fakes are easy to spot, & easy to avoid so long as your thinking with your head & not your cock.
There’s no way on earth we’d ever upload face pics holding a bit of card saying we’re membe of a Swingers site, as I suspect is the case with the vast majority of folk on here.
Anyone who says that fakes are spoiling the site really needs to look into their own desires if they’re getting snared |

When I set up this profile I was forced to be photo verified before I could access the site. I’ve never had to do that on any of my previous profiles, so maybe admin are changing things slightly. |

I had to not long after I joined, too, which was a bit challenging as I'd just come out of hospital. My full nudes were rejected, I suspect because I was in a medical device I wasn't allowed to take off, so I was nude except that (it didn't cover anything that would reveal that I'm a woman). |

I agree. It’s pretty easy to spot the fakes and I’ve not been here long at all.
I’m open so was happy to photo verify but not everyone is for various reasons, and if won’t stop the fakes either. |

Let me build on my point, you can photo verify yourself on here, which is given as an option, and the rules for doing so are not blurred, write your username and fabswingers.com on a piece of paper, you have to have a picture taken with face and torso clearly holding the paper with both hands, this should be used by admin not as option for users, but as a necessity, the said picture would then never be made public, so that they could not be duplicated
There's ways of editing pics so the theory that anyone whose photo verified is genuine isn't a valid one. Also I could get myself photo verified (pic is kept private) then I could upload pics of myself that are 10+ years old and put them public. Everyone would then think wow she looks fab for 34 but really those pics are from when I was a lot younger ........ I've had a man that done this to me, when we met it was clear he was at least 10years older than any pic he'd sent me or had displayed on his profile but that's not a reflection on a fake profile..... Just being misleading with his pics and unfortunately we are all guilty of that
By editing pics I meant to crop in 'fabswingers' into someone else's pic, that makes it fake!
I'm NOT guilty of putting up pics that are years old all my pics are taken within days of me uploading them, so the date under pic tallies up to date it was taken!! yes but what I meant was we take the most flattering pics not the honest ones obviously because you want to show yourself in your best light a pics a pics if it's of you it doesn't make your profile fake does it?
Taking the best angled pics doesn't make any of us fake, I've read every comment and I can't see where I said it does

As previously pointed out, socials or clubs sort the problem out of getting verified, it’s not rocket science. |
