Hi all, just after some advice on booking a hotel for an afternoon of fun with a friends wife.
I'd prefer to pay by cash but not sure how to get around the fact that most hotels prefer a credit card in case of any damage. I only want the room for a maximum of 3 hours or so.
Any advice on this or recomendations on good hotels and a reasonable (cheapish) price please?

Etap is probably the best. No frills , no spills best option in budget accomadation , just don't forget your Id  |

used to use the Inis in Manchester a fair bit a few years ago, the one near Canal Street, they were happy to be paid cash, but did require a debit or credit card incase of damage, and were happy to acept a friends, never ever got charged on the card.
was for pvernight stays though
Some hotels now do romms by the hour a google search will reveal them

me and a friend had a meet with a couple in an Etap once, was bizarre, the bed was a double but with a sigle bunk bed on top
the room was tiny!! not my first choice of hotel |

The ibis in nottingham takes cash so if there's one in your area might be worth trying them. Nice clean basic hotel room which was absolutely fine. If you're near an airport some hotels nearby will let rooms during the day for travellers to freshen up. |
