There are waxing kits, if you have a friend you can call upon to do the ripping.
Epilators are another option - think of an electric razor but with tweezers instead.
I use veet sensitive on the old gentleman spuds and haven't had any issues. Obviously everyone's sensitivity differs so always spot test first!
