Having been on here a while nervously looking around and chatting to a few, finally had my first successful meet.
Did not last long but believe both parties were happy, but seem to be feeling bit out of it. As in did it go as well as I think it did, what was all the nerves before hand about?
Is this normal? |

We've been swinging for nearly ten years and I still get nerves before a meet. It's completely normal! It's part of the anticipation and excitement. I always have said if I ever don't get the nerves it's time to pack it in! You also consider how the other people feel about a meet but the most important thing is you. Did you enjoy it? What aspects did you really like? Etc. We always talk it over afterwards especially if it was something new involved. Helps us decide where we want to go next.

I get nervous on the first meet every time. I just take that into consideration and sort of assume that the second meet (if it happens) will be better. Part of the game. |

The drop afterwards is also very normal. It's the adrenaline, you have all the excitement and the build up beforehand, then the actual meet with all the different emotions, then afterwards when the adrenaline stops flowing is when the drop sets in. It's totally normal and does pass. |
