My friend was precribed the testogel stuff..he was on them a month before contracting a huge blood clot in his leg.
The anti collagen nurse asked if he was on any testosterone enhancement.
She said chances are it was those that caused it and it would be best if he stopped using it. |

"Well what a day. The consultant has agreed to TRT. I’m really pleased a great result I think. But has anyone got any personal experience please ?? "
Hi - D here. Feel free to message me about this. I have had a number of treatments, gel, implants and injections and am happy to discuss if you want. |

No personal experience, but my dad is on a mixture of hormone replacement therapies because of a pituitary tumour. Testosterone replacement is part of that and the changes in his wellbeing because of the management of his hormone levels is quite amazing.
I guess try It, see how you feel. If it makes no difference or has ill effects you can always stop it. But try It, persevere with it as it can take a little time to get the balance right if my dad is anything to go by, but it's always worth a try. Good luck x |

From Wikipedia,
“Some body builders use T. terrestris extract as a dietary supplement with the belief that it increases testosterone levels. The belief was popularized by the American bodybuilder Jeffrey Petermann in the early 1970s. However, T. terrestris has failed to increase testosterone levels in controlled studies. It has also failed to demonstrate strength-enhancing properties, a finding indicating that the purported anabolic steroid effects of Tribulus terrestris are untrue.”
And:
“A recent study found that T. terrestris caused no increase in testosterone or LH in young men, and another found that a commercial supplement containing androstenedione and herbal extracts including T. terrestris, was no more effective at raising testosterone levels than androstenedione alone.”
But it WILL work if you really believe it will, just like Viagra.
Since testosterone is a natural product of our bodies, replacement therapy can have no side effects at all. You will just be replacing what always use to be there. However, it does encourage the growth of some pre-existing prostate cancer tumours, and will cause further harm if you have some problems with your liver. These are the reasons why testosterone is a prescription drug. Your specialist checked that you don’t have any form of prostrate cancer, or any kind of liver problem, which is good news!
When you start your therapy, you will notice no difference whatsoever. But over a period of weeks and months, you will gradually feel better and better, and your good old libido will gradually return to its normal range variable levels, from “can’t be bothered” to climbing the walls! The point is that you will gradually return to normal, and probably not really notice it.

"Get ready to feel better mate. You will feel alive again. Best choice I made.
What were your levels before you went on it?
I honestly can’t remember now. Was about three years ago. "
why did you decide to go on it? |

My Doctor recommended it my Test was naturally dropping with age and TRT is big in the US. I was lucky as she takes an interest in this field and is following TRT closely across the pond. She will be trialing me on patches soon. |
