A lot of people still think that just because you go into a swingers club that rules don’t apply... Bloody hell there’s more rules in a swingers club than there is in a pub/normal club. You’re still in control of what happens

In most European clubs the dark rooms are exactly that, DARK.
While normal rules do still apply anyone who enters can expect to get (at least) groped. If you don't want that then don't go in.
We sometimes play a little game. We will play with someone in a dark room then from things we have touched (clothing, jewellery Etc) we will try to figure out later who we were playing with. |

I've been to clubs, but outside the darkroom I can choose who touches me and who to avoid .Even then I've had randoms thinking it was ok to sidle up and rub their cock against random bits of me (ie my foot!).
Therefore I have doubts that wandering hands and hard ons would be easy to avoid under the anonymity of darkness...
So maybe not for me . |

I think the general idea of a dark room is that you don't mind any wandering hands, groping, etc!!
If you really mind anyone of a certain age, ethnicity, whatever touching you---definitely not the place to be.
The ones I've been in were pitch black, no way of telling who was there or how many.
No still means no, of course, but I think that just going into a dark room implies you're there for the anonymous groping (much the same way that going to a glory hole implies what it does). You're certainly not there to watch any action???

I enjoy the anonymity of what goes on in a dark room.
If anyone is too rough or doing something I don't fancy it's easy to push them away.
Main issue is if you start to fuck in there checking they have a condom on. |

I the male half used to love the dark room at fabs had some great fun in there the only rule I can tell you other than no means no was couples had to enter as couples and single ladies could go in alone but guys couldn't. That didn't stop some. There were also stories of guys getting someone to get them into the club then split up and take up residence in the dark room for the night, cannot confirm this to be true.
They are fun but keep your wits about you, there are often people who'll attempt bareback if your not prepared. |

We like the way some of the Spanish clubs arrange the dark rooms.
One side of the room is for couples and single lady's only and the other side is mixed.
Between the two sides they have prison style bars so if a lady want's to be groped, or do some groping herself, she can press herself up to the bars. When she has had enough she can just take one step back and she is out of range.
Of course if she wants full on she can just enter on the mixed side.
We've had some good fun in these rooms. |

The one at Infusion's is a DARK dark room. Couldn't even see your hand in front of your face. When townhouse host RAW, their dark room is still fairly well lit with ambient light.
As others have said, by entering you give your consent to be groped initially but you still have the right to block further contact. Obviously in a total dark room it'll be hard to see things coming (so to speak) and harder to keep track of who's touching you.
We do like the anonymity of them |

Also La Arboleda de Similia (LADS) in Elche and as I remember Cupido Benidorm as well.

Oh we love dark rooms. One of our favourite games when playing forfeits at home to get the party started is a card which states we all have to go to the dark room. It more or less guarantees the party will start as fondling and snogging quickly begin. |

Me and my girl have talked about dark rooms and both really turned on by the fantasy of it. But some of the practical implications ruin it for us in reality. I guess we'd would love to step into a dark play room and lose ourselves if there was some kind of vetting and control of entry for who was in the dark room. Pick a dark room that is dark but not so dark you don’t know what’s happening. The dark room in Quest is good as light comes through the open door. It allows just enough light in. I once tried a dark room so dark I To this day have no idea who was in there. Never again. |

Be confident and ready to assert your boundaries at all times.
Progressively let your eyes and brain adjust to the darkness: it helps if you don't immediately enter from the brightest possible place, as your eyes will see nothing at first.
Try to find the quietest spot, so that you can settle your vision. (This won't stop others scuttling to you but at least means you're not immediately impaled by accident.  )
If you're with someone, keep in physical contact, so that you know which body you can trust.
I find it often better to enter and leave a few times, whilst I'm settling myself, before the fuller action. Your eyes will probably adjust quicker each time too. If you want 100% darkness, you could always wear an eye mask.  |

I went to a club in mercia in Spain and their dark room layout was brilliant. I actually went as a single guy as I was on holiday with a friend and they have a couples side and a male (or anyone) side. In between the 2 is a dark room with bars separating the two sides, whenever a couple enters the room they can press a button which turns on a light outside the room on the male side to let them know someone is in there. They can then do whatever they wish through the bars or just move out of reach if they wish. Was a brilliant setup and if I was to run a club over here is defiantly something I would do. |
