Hi all thought id throw this one out there for discussion about how to spot fakes in here and what are people's opinions or experiences from this site with fakes or timewasters ??  |

We pay no attention to fakes, and certainly have no interest in spotting them. In fact it wasn’t until I started using the forums that I learnt there are fakes on a Fab.

I know they exist now because people on the forums say so. But I personally haven’t knowingly stumbled across a fake, but they must be there. So I guess I pay them no attention, if I haven’t noticed them. |

That’s true. Over the years there’s been rather a lot of crap messaging us on Fab. Some of them could have been fake I suppose. Maybe most were fake. |

Don’t know. To date, I guess we have managed to avoid all fake profiles that look genuine. How we do that I’m not sure. |

One verification from a single Male, with nothing very few similar pics (usually taken from somebody else’s Facebook).
Oh and usually they are 18 and soooo hungry for cock and just can’t get enough.
But we have started to really take a look at peoples pics now too. Some people have more than enough verifications but they still have pics that are clearly fake, I.e fake cock photoshop jobs that are just awful etc

It seems alot has changed since i was first on fabs few years ago to now coming back that almost 1 in 10 are timewasting .

A profile with obviously old pics, trying to move the conversation off Fab, keen to meet, but won't set a date, and suggesting meets you can't do, ie your place when it's clear you can't accommodate.
That's what I have found.

There's a couple of types of fakes that I see a lot:
The clearly fake female profiles where there's no pictures, no meets, no verifications, no text, just the "I'm an 18 year old girl and I'd like to meet men". Sometimes there's a variation where the profile has a picture, often one you've seen before, and they might collect friends for a few weeks before disappearing.
And the other common one is a bloke pretending to be a couple. Waaay too many of those on here. You arrange a meet and on the day, the female is magically unavailable. Sometimes there's feedback from 3 years ago so they probably were a couple at some point, but now the guy is just out on his own. |

Absolutely not!
But in every case where we have been approached by a "couple" with a long gap in their verification hiatory, it has clearly been a single male trying to turn the chat to what he would like to do. We ask for a phone call just so everyone knows that we are all real, and the conversation stops.
Not pointing the finger at anyone except for the sad bastards who DO indulge in this practice, they are out there. |

A classic mistake fakes make is to construct a profile claiming to be in a profession, which requires some level of higher education, but the text on the profile and in messages have lots of spelling and grammar mistakes, and poor sentence construction - more so than the odd typo or someone with learning disabilities.
I caught one like this on my single profile looking for bi women. ‘She’ had only 20 minutes previously joined, claimed to be a paramedic, but the profile text was written in very poor English. I ignored the first messsage. When messaged after a short while again (written as a ‘first’ message again, too!), there was a cam veri from a profile of 2 men, even though she wasn’t looking for men! After a day, the profile went ‘UNLOS’! |

When people complain about fakes, I assume thet are talking about a man pretending to be a woman or a couple? But how do you know that a profile is not what it seems? Unless people have arranged to meet a lady and guy turns up?

If the photos are too good to be try, try a Google Reverse Search, I've done this a few times and the last time they were actually of some guy in Sweden ha ha, not wherever the fake was claiming to be in this country. |

Makes me laugh in chat 'couple' starts chatting to us ..... whos there both m and f ? we ask erm no just the male tonight well get the fuck outta here !!!  always always the way spoils it for genuine couples |

I recently had a 'single woman' steal one of my pics. 'she' messaged my fb asking to meet him, when he looked at her profile she had our pic on it. He immediately messaged me to take a look. It became apparent that whoever was behind the profile had stolen several other pics too...
Don't even get me started on the timewasters who arrange a meet and then don't turn up, then they have the nerve to block me!?!?  |

Well in my experience the dreaded blackhead profiles , no pics , no veris when they been on for a few months lol .
Also arranging weird meets and sometimes the one's who say we only chatting to you but are on fabs 24/7 lol why lie ??? |

The first type of profile could be a fake or it could be a timewaster (a timewaster is not necessarily a fake). Either way if you use Fab the way we do and pay no attention to the existance of such profiles, then you won’t even thinking that Fab is full of fakes because it will be irrelevant.
With regards to someone saying they are only chatting to you but on Fab 24/7. That’s not necessarily a lie. We’re on Fab 24/7 and are chatting to no one via Fab. But if we did decide to take on someone new, we would be able to say that we were chatting to one person only via Fab, despite constantly looking at Fab.

Not necessarily. The male here does all the chatting and legwork on the site as she isn't really into that. However, she is very real and very much into the sex.
She is, however, always willing to do a quick phone chat to prove she exists  |

Mrs never uses fab at all. It's always Mr. But she will chat on the phone and turn up to meets.
I have several ways of spotting fakes, but prefer not to advertise how since its possible fakes reading this thread will use the information to "improve" their profiles. |

We been on here a good few years, had our time wasted quite a lot in the early years but soon become wise.
We just don’t bother arranging meets any more as it’s more hassle than it’s worth
Club or party nights only for us or if we are at a loose end we may go dogging.
Verification system is ok but can give false security. |

But in every case where we have been approached by a "couple" with a long gap in their verification hiatory, it has clearly been a single male trying to turn the chat to what he would like to do. We ask for a phone call just so everyone knows that we are all real, and the conversation stops.

I would thinking posting someone else’s face photo (identifiable) onto a swinging or any type of sex site would be a criminal offence punishable by prison time . The same would apply if you display your partners face photo without getting their their clear permission beforehand It’s no different to ‘revenge porn’ . |
