Penrith

I think the Fab ‘norm’ is a 20 minute drive maximum

I’ve travelled 90 miles one way for a meet, which I think is a sensible limit for time constraints

Istanbul / Tunisia / Serbia have all been done but when he moved to Brazil that was a step too far - too long and too expensive flight!!

Not far. We used to say up to an hour's drive. Now we limit it to half an hour max.

Unless it was for a regular meet I never understand why people travel hours for meets. If it’s further than half an hour away for a first meet then it’s a no from me.

Always has a slight hint of desperation when someone says they’ve travelled several hours on a pack mule through a blizzard just to get to a meet

Well to be fair I loved Istanbul and met him there while we were hostelling and I didn’t see anything wrong in combining my love of that city, travel and sex!!

30 minutes max.

I'm the one travelling at my cost for fuel, parking fees and own drink.

Considering I'm the one putting it the effort (my choice), I really can't be bothered to travel more than 30 minutes for sex! There are guys in my own town. So I see it as, I really don't need to travel far at all.

I don't do hotels or passing through town cowboys! Lol.

Even if they've travelled all that way to meet you?

I get it can appear flattering having them set off on a exbidition to meet someone. But I’ve read someone on a similar thread say they travelled four hours each way for a new meet....i mean I surely can’t be the only one who thinks that’s a touch desperate.

If they’re travelling through the area or, as stated above, seem to be in the same country I get it. But in my own opinion it’s the half hour rule

couple of hours drive is fine for me .

lucky enough to have a 67 plate car , automatic , turbo diesel and love driving it so distance not an issue with me

plus im kind of in the middle here so up the A1 or M1 for north

M25 and M3 takes me south and south east

well off the M25 i can head anywhere.

it dosent take long to travel 100 plus miles these days on a motorway.

We always travel for meets, 100 miles isn't uncommon. We always have a back up, non meet plan if it doesn't materialise, never had to use it so far.

I like travel. Sometimes it's an excuse to get a break away and combine it with seeing some of the country.
