Chat, friend, block! Why?

Can anyone shed any light onto why people to invest a lot of time chatting, sending messages for a good couple of weeks then send a friend invite, and once that invite has been accepted by myself they instantly block? Just seems a bit odd, i always send a face pic with messages so the people know what i look like before they send friend request, surely if they didnt like the chat or what they seen that would be the time to block. Although personally i dont block i use that for extreme circumstances. I normally say sorry but your not my type that normally does the trick.

Maybe they don't like your private pics..

Maybe they just don't want to chat anymore..
