"There seems to be different definitions of size like penis size
So what does the following actually mean in say dress sizes
Slim
Average
Curvy
Large
Fabulous "
I'll give it a go and wait for the flak
I would expect the following dress sizes for the following descriptions (there's some overlap)
Slim 6 - 10
Average 10-14
Curvy. 12-16
Large 16-24
Fabulous 20+

I'm listed as slim (hubbys definition not mine) I'm a size 6-8 in adult clothes, though I do own several kids clothes aged 10-11.
I'm not gym fit or what I consider slim - so far as I'm concerned I'd lump myself in average. |

Slim means slight frame with little body fat
Average means just that normal body frame in the normal fat range.
Curvy means same as average but with a curvy shape ie larger hips/breasts
Large means higher than normal levels of body fat.
Fabulous no idea?
Whilst no one category is right or wrong it’s down to individual taste.
Describing ones self is down to your opinion of your body type.
Hope this helps. |

I'm curvy, size 12, not much boob but big bum and thighs, you can be slim but still have a curvy figure you can have large breasts but a slim frame, do would you be curvy or slim? so there's a wide definition for all terms used |

Defining sizes is tricky as height plays a factor.
I'm a size 14, but I'd describe myself as Slim & Athletic.
I'm just over 6'

I'm size 18-20 up top and 16 below but fuck it. I can't exactly hide it fabulous was what an old friend suggested so that's it. If they put clothes sizes on I would be happy to oblige with that, some others maybe not though. Different strokes and all that x |

I'm a size 8 which I suppose is classed as slim but I have muscle definition so put down athletic instead, not sure it matters, the pics show everybody's fabulous self more than words can describe |

Just looked at the first couple of pics, and yes in our opinion we’d class you as slim ( I’m a bit envious to be fair )
Agree with how you describe yourself as athletic though!
I wonder if others do too? |

I don’t think there’s a definitive answer to this. Even based on dress size it also depends on height. I’m a size 8-10 and class myself average. But if I was a foot taller and that size I’d be very slim!
What I can’t suss out though, is men on here who class themselves as curvy!

I see curvy as a definition. Big boobs, smaller waist and big hips. Similar to the hourglass shape. I wouldn't think it was size based. It would be more shape based. That's my take anyway, I could be wrong. Everyone has different views. That's why it's easier just to look at the pics . |

In answer to the OP everyone will define these things differently it’s personal to each individual I personally go with curvy even as a larger lady because i define curvy to be and hourglass body shape and that can appear in ladies of all sizes
Most would say in regards to women that dress size 12-14 is average yet the average uk dress size is actually a size 16 so it’s all subjective
The only thing that matters is how that person defines themselves and wether they let how others may define them rule them they shouldn’t. some will call me, a fat bird, disgraceful for daring to call myself curvy, personally really couldn’t give a toss, they’re strangers on the internet their opinion means nothing, regardless of how important they think their opinion is |

Slim, average and large are the only ones that could possibly be sized. For me slim is 12-14, average is 16 and large is 18+, hence why my profile says I am large. You can be almost any size and be curvy or fabulous, you can also be neither. If there was a fat option I would choose that as that is what I am, even tho I don't look it in some of my pics I do like to give a heads up on the fact |

Male 1/2 is ample on our profile too.
Nothing to be ashamed of, you are what you are.
Like said if your unhappy with what you are you can change it. If you’re happy don’t!
If somebody else is unhappy with your looks that’s their fault not yours! If said person abuses you over it, they are simply an insecure bully.
They could just as easily encourage you rather than insult you. |

I am fat, I am also alot fitter than the majority of my much slimmer friends, my father was a regular rugby player and slim, he died at 51, actually after getting in from a run while on holiday, my fiance was very slim, toned and fit, he died at 37....obviously being massively overweight is not going to do you any favours if you do not keep active but being slim is rarely the lifesaver you expect it to be! But thank you for your concern! And just because you do not enjoy the squidgier female form does not make it not beautiful, it just makes that your opinion and not everyone elses. |

It's purely a description that relates to how someone sees themself. It doesn't in any way relate to fact or dress size. I don't understand why people constantly question what it means and even why it causes so many derogatory comments about people's use of certain words. Wise people take no notice and concentrate on the important stuff rather than how someone chooses to describe their body type. And yes. I will roll my eyes as well. |

A woman could be 4'11" and a size 16 and she'll look quite overweight. Another woman could be a size 16 but 6ft and she'd look average or athletic. It's all subjective.
I'm a 16, and I'm tall. I'm not noticeably overweight but I have what i call my "mum-tum". In all honesty, I could probably be described as average, curvy or ample, because I have big-ish boobs and a big rounded bum. I settle for curvy.
The key is in the photos and/or description. I'm not about to post photos of my mum-tum because it's my least favourite part of my body, but I made sure in my profile to mention that i do have extra wobbly bits. As long as you're honest, that's all that matters to me. |

Excuse me being big is sometimes not a choice I'm a size 18-20 and class myself as large...I get told constantly I'm beautiful/sexy or whatever (I choose not to believe it but that's my prerogative ), I'm not unhealthy or is it in no way 'life threatening'
There are so many larger women who have so much more beauty in their appearance than people with a small minded ugly attitude (unfortunately there are a few on here that think they're above everyone as they're slim therefore inferior to others )
I'd much rather be large and be attractive to some than have such an disappointing ugly body shaming view which to me is much more unattractive than anybody's size or appearance |

When I was at my largest, size 24uk there was nothing I'd describe myself as other than fat. I certainly didn't feel fabulous or ample. I felt plain awful. And I hated the term bbw as I couldn't ever see that shape as beautiful.
These days I say average as I believe a 14 is about average for women in the UK, in general. Although some days, particularly after Christmas I think a tubby or chubby option might be apt! |

Yes and their stocky body’s types would be athletic to some and not to others
I was merely demonstrating it’s not necessarily mis used it’s another subjective description depending on what you would call an athletic physique |

I agree the body shape / size options are not great, and better options for guys are definitely needed.
Though as others have said, as long as the profile photos show what the person looks like, I don't see that it really matters. Everyone will see themselves differently.

I've put curvy...maybe I'm on the larger scale of that. Fat fuck isn't a option on here unfortunately
Pay less attention to the size description, it's pretty subjective, and go off pics or what they may put in their profile (I've got my dress size in ours).

I say I’m curvy coz I have curves, not because it’s a size range, if that was the case I wouldn’t have a catagory as I’m size 14 waist down and something like a 24 if I was to buy a shirt simply for my boobs, and if I do buy the big top it hangs off me the arms are massive I look swamped it’s like a mans size on me but that’s what I’d have to buy If I wanted to fasten the buttons |
