After a couple of sexy encounters with women with their hoods pierced i am seriously considering getting it done.
I (female) found it such a sexy surprise and very pretty.
I am not worried about the pain as i have quite a good pain threshold but i would love some advice on whether it gets in the way sexually?
I am fond of my wand and fingers... Haha...would it get in the way?
Also do you find it a turn on or turn off?
Thank you.

"Hey. I have mine done and it’s never got in the way at all.
It hurt like a bitch but only for a split second as it’s such a thin bit of skin it goes through. I’d say go for it "
Thank you thats great.
Is it a vertical or horizontal?

I found a small bar did nothing for my sex life, nor did it get in the way. It's just like wearing an earring - physically it doesn't really affect anything for me (positively or negatively). |

Mine is vertical, doesn't particularit help or hinder play.
Just for decoration really.
Only problem I have with it is when I wear french knickers or any knickers with a seam down the middle it can rub so tend to have to pull the seam to one side |

When it rubs is it painful or just irritating? |

It can be painful it depends how big the seam is but generally just uncomfortable |

I had mine done a few months ago. Once healed I was told to go back to get a bigger ball out on as makes the rubbing on the clit better they said ( Iv still got to go and get it change). I’d say it hurt for a second. My nipple was far worse x |

"Are there any issues with this re FGM legislation? "
Yes. Some piercers will not do genital piercings on women unless they already have piercings.
Some doctors feel like they must record piercings as fgm on medical records (although they will not follow it up if they believe it to be consensual).
The law suffounding fgm is deliberately unclear in order to have the best chance of catching abuse. |

I've got mine done, in fact it didn't hurt but I did flinch when the woman put the clamp on(it was cold) .....
Like u I enjoy my wand and fingers, myself I've found that it's made me more sensitive in that area and nope it's never gotten in the way.xxx good luck .xxxx |

I love my vertical piercing
I got a ring done and stretched to a bigger gauge to help with stimulation.
It has made a hell of a difference. If played with right it gets me closer to orgasm than anything has.
Expect to feel tingly for at least a week after its done. Like hyper aware. It's nice! |

Thank you everyone.
All of your answers are a great help.
I want it done even more now.
And if i do not like it i suppose i can remove it easily enough.
Think i will book it in for January.

Mrs J loves hers (so do I), the healing period means no sex for a while, but after that nothing really has changed, nothing she can't do or use. It can dull or heighten the sensitivity, for Mrs J it certainly increased the sensitivity!

"Mmm considering getting mine done as nipples were no bother at all, but my peircer/tattooist reckons no oral for 6 weeks. Is he just being too careful?"
I think your tattooist is being quite conservative. I have quite a few piercings and I don't let people put mouths on them for three months after I have them done.
Hood piercings are quite quick healers though - so a month and a half is reasonable. Deep piercings like nipples or labia though, three months is about right. |
