please can u unblock my hour i wasnt warned tat i was useing captialk letters n didnt know dat i couldnt i was fumeing caudse da guy was tryin to tell me wat to do dats not a directing room he wasny kicked out |

Warnings go through the room every few minutes,there is no requirement for a mod to give extra warnings... the chat rules can be read before you go in.
Best thing to do is read them and you will know what you can and can't do  |

well before you type - try and read back before you speak - ok sometimes i no its hard - but rather than rush in etc just make sure your caps lock is of, and ps text speak is not good either, enjoy

im dyselexic, its no harder to learn,
however if u log in using chrome then there is a handy red line under your words,and left click gives u the correct spelling, it saves me n chat...good luck |

help please can anyone tell me how get ban lifted my hubby had 4 hour ban in directing room 3 last night ,and when i signed in my account we never argued with anyone mods gave me a 48 hour ban ..... lol we both gold members too it seems free members get away with it all and better thought of in chat too
it our first bans too .started tho on friday we stuck up for another chatter who got banned that we did again last night grrr

ALL members have to go by the same rules, and get banned if they break them..wether they pay or not.
The only people who can lift a ban are Admin themselves...but they only do that if it was a mistake.
Click on the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page and send your query there.

Let's be realistic, you break the chat rules (which I'm sure everyone has read in great detail??) then you break them and you only get banned for 48 hours? Is that really the end of the world??
The site will still be here in two days time FFS

The chat room and caps rule does appear to be heavily policed.
A few weeks ago had a WARNING for a few words in a line that were in caps. Wasn't shouting at someone, was highlighting something if I recall.
I was wtf when I got the warning. |

But if the mods ignored your 'highlighting' of a point then everyone else would think it was ok to 'HIGHLIGHT' things in CAPS then where would you all be ? |

Oh my....we will have anyone who ever has had a ban and didn't think they should have it here soon 
The best thing to do is check out the rules, if the rules say you can't do something then it is best not to do it or push the rule to it's limit as you are likely to be banned.
Reminders of the rules go into the room every few minutes so there isn't a need for any more reminders, but mods can use their discretion if they want to remind further.....but if that isn't acceptable you can always let any mod know you would rather be banned outright with no reminders.

So I presume that this post where I've used caps three times so far would fall foul?
I can understand the rule in terms of those that talk all the time in caps, but for occassional use what is the problem?
Their rules I guess, but compared to other transgressions that go unwarned seems trivial. |

I'm no longer a chat mod so cannot comment on the current state of play, however when I was a mod, if I saw someone type in caps, even if it was just to highlight a point, I'd warn them not to do it.
9 times out of time, I'd get an apology and that would be the end of it but on the odd occasion the chat user would continue to use caps in somw way shape or form and I'd then go on to boot them for an hour ..
You have to understand the situation - a mod can never do right in anyones eyes - it's a fact of life, but if you as you say 'highlighted' something, and I have no reason to disbelieve you, but if that went ignored or unchallenged by the mod, then a few minutes later someone else was banned for using caps that's when the trouble begins in the form of, "Why didn't xxx get banned when he used caps 5 minutes ago'

It IS ok to use caps to HIGHLIGHT a particular word or short phrase according to the chat rules - chat rules are very specific and state that you should not type ALL in caps - any moderator issuing warnings for using caps merely to highlight or to add emphasis should be directed to the chat rules and reported if they continue to issue warnings |
