We've been told by a guy he can't verify us as fab won't allow him until he is verified, is this genuine or bull?

The female of a new couple profile in my local area has verified it with her separate female profile. Surely that's not allowed?

You see this makes sense, I guess it was to stop randoms verifying themselves with fake accounts
