i just use condoms or the rhythm method (avoid sex on my fertile days, i use an app for it and it's pretty accurate coz my periods are regular).
depends how regular your having sex but i'd say every 3 months minimum if you're having it regularly or with multiple partners. |

we get tested every 6-8 weeks. We used to go every 4 but we have been less active recently. I have the implant. On the mini pill to regulate my cycle as implant means I'm all place and use condoms.
I would never just rely on condoms. And obviously we dont use them together |

I (mr) had the snip ages back so we didn't need any contraception previously. Now of course we play safe wih others, but Bun has gone on depo injection in case of condom failure on a meet.
That needs topping up every 3 months so we do it at the GUM and get tested at the same time. |

This is the advice you'd get from a sexual health nurse.
But possibly don't opt for sterilisation, go for a pill or implant concurrently |

I have the implant get it changed every 3 years. It makes my periods irregular. I use condoms with anyone new and I don't use condoms with hubby or with my DD. I get tested every 4-6 months |
