Dear all

Last year I posted on here about my struggles mainly with anxiety attacks and mild depression. I can happily say that I am now med free and have had no symptoms since January and for those out there who are suffering with this awful private illness it can be beaten and stay strong. Happy safe fabbing and swinging to you all x

Kudos on your continuing good mental health and your openness about it.

I have had, and still have, my own continuing struggles with it and I know it's harder for guys to talk about it.

Well done.

It is not an easy thing to overcome. And you should be very proud.

It is an evil unforgiving illness.

Full respect and admiration to you.

hiding from cock pics.

I'm very happy to hear somebody comment about this and that also you are feeling better.

It is so hard for men to talk about these kind of issues, so the more people do the easier it is for others. And the fact that you are doing well, is of course fabulous.

I've overcome mine too although I feel it still lurks in the background.

It's good to have a place to be able to chat with other people. Well done for climbing back from the depths that can trap us. It takes baby steps but gradually it can be done.

Ditto to what my wonderful man Alex said. As a person who also has 'complex' mental health issues I wish more people, especially guys would talk about it. It's only by educating and squashing stigma that we can reach better understanding of our demons. Keep going. Xox Sandy

Would just like to echo these comments. Over recent months stress has crept up on me but i did the 'manly' thing and tried to power through and kidded myself i could cope. But i wasnt coping and took the stupid male line of i have to be 'strong' and dont talk about it. But a good friend saw me falling apart and forced me to take time off work and sort myself out and i am so grateful.

I am not totally sorted but I am on the right road and talking.

fair play to you mate, its an ongoing struggle but youll, if not beat it, give it a bloody good scrap.

as someone who doesnt use meds, and tries to control it the best i can, i can totally get on board with your post, stay safe mate.

Up on them there hills

It is something I can suffer from time to time (him).

However, I have a woof that drives me crazy until I come out of it, usually a lot fitter...

Does remind me of a conversation in a pub I overheard. The girl was talking to her friend. 'I always tell new boyfriends that I'm bi... thier faces light up. I do let the work out the polar on Tibet pwn though'.

Seriously, getting out, walking, talking does help me come out of my head and shift perspectives to a more even keel.

Now who wants to rent a wonderful woof...

It's great to hear people talk so freely about a topic that effects so many of us.

I've suffered with severe depression for some years to the point of not wanting to live anymore so I understand where you are all coming from.

When you get to that point where you want to end it all there is no going any lower. It's took a long time for me to get the right help but I got it in the end.

So for anyone that is suffering with stress, anxiety or depression please don't leave it too late

Well done,

I struggle with anxiety myself but like many have said it's about making each day better than the last, and keep going forward

As a manager I have a number of staff that I look after and it's surprising when you talk to them how many suffer, it's such a wide spread condition that many people don't understand

I'm always honest with them that I suffer too and always offer my personal support when they have their bad days
