Are you sure it's the scene for you?
If you are then get involved in the forum, make sure your profile and pictures are the best they can be, go to clubs and events and meet people.
It's a bit direct on here so try not to let rejection damage your self esteem. Be yourself.
But ultimately you're going to have to interact a lot to be successful. Maybe build your confidence through other means too.
