Hi folks im a single guy 52 med built scottish non pushy wondering how to get into social evening or weekend i live down in stranraer but trying to get information is like trying to get hens teeth out any help much appreciated if you want to speak privatly to me i can give my number no probs single and ready to mingle |

There are usually socials posted in the meet up section of the forum mate. People post asking to be put on the guest list and the host will tell you if you have been added or its full. They are sometimes a bit cagey with specific location's etc but this is to stop uninvited guests etc. Those on the guest list will be told via inbox.
I've never been to one but it doesn't seem hard to get involved, I am contemplating going to the next Manchester social as it looks like a fun night to be had.
Don't forget though, that socials are just a party/get together and there is no playing. |

Socials are often advertised in the 'meet up' section of the forum, such as this one from our past:

As you can see, people sign up knowing the date and rough location, in this case it was Exeter. The exact location details are then usually emailed out a few days before. This is to provide a greater level of discretion to all concerned.
Living where you do there is probably zero chance of an organised social, but if you look further afield you may find one. Glasgow maybe?

Try asking in the Scotland chatroom as well, the ones in our neck of the woods are always advertised in our regional room.
