I was wondering if anyone on here could help me.
After fitting the phone with a memory card, photos i take, then delete or save on my "safe" storage app, seem to have a habit of reappearing at inappropriate times.
It's worse when i turn my phone off and on. It seems all of them reappear. I deleted the phone safe app, and tried again.
The pictures seem to delete, and are gone.
But sometime when i go on facebook etc, they pop up in suggestions of recent photos to post ....
It's a worry.
Then after i get rid of them again, switch the phone off/on they all come back ?

You might think they're stored in a certain folder or on a certain memory stick but you've probably got some stored in other locations. Then when you try some options/functions you don't see them and then they appear under different options/functions because they look at different locations. That's all we can think of as it's happened with us. |

Sounds like they are synchronized somewhere - maybe in the cloud.
Each time one of your devices sees a disparity between the folders, it restores the missing photos.
Maybe look in settings, for synch or cloud preferences.
I find it similarly annoying/embarrasing, when you just want to show people a specific photo folder (like on the PC) but it shows you everything on the phone! ![](/icons/s/redface.gif) |

Hi thanks for the feedback.
I'm not on cloud or google, all those settings have been disabled.
I've found something about an update for the phone that stops third party apps from removing them from the memory card and hiding them. So when it tries to do that, it creates a backup somewhere i have no way of ever finding. Then when powered on, restores them.
So even when i hard delete them, they just reappear from the secret back up when i power up.
Shit phone.. |

I saved all the naughty pics to an app in my phone, deleted all the naughty ones from phone gallery, only to find that they reappeared slap bang in the middle of a massive family get-together... Ohhhh the shame.... ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

Yeah, now if i try to move multiples, it actually tells me due to an update it doesn't allow outside apps to remove from memory card. So they must be pushing for their own app use. It does hide them, but the settings are removed as and when it sees fit...
On my old phone ten years ago, i was able to set up folders and move things where i wanted without all this nonsense. Was handy for most things as well -
Car photos all together, hiking photos, holiday photos etc.
Meant if you needed to find something, you just had to remember the subject, not the date. |
