Looking to stock up on the basics like leather wrist and ankle cuffs, hogties, spreader bars etc.. but don't want some cheap fall-apart stuff. Any recomendations?

I find Lovehoney is best. They tend to do more affordable options as well as the more expensive bits.

Watch some "how to..." vids, buy a few bits and pieces, make your own, and maybe even recoup the costs by selling to friends, et voila... you are a multi-millionaire BDSM equipment supplier!

If you're handy and creative you can try and make your own equipment. Leather belts (male and female) make good cuffs, floggers etc. Look for every day objects that could be adapted for kinky uses.

hiding from cock pics.

So many things can be adapted, you can carefully use tights and stockings to restrain people, but do have safety shears handy ( £2 ebay). You can use rulers, kitchen spoons and butter pats, not to mention cheese boards as spanking paddles.

Plus a bare hand works well too.

Gaffer tape and a snorkel should do it.

I've dismantled an old bicycle and made various implements of pleasure/pain. Even? the saddle has made an effective paddle.

Tie one to your penis and use it for double penetration.

"Aldi sometimes do specials. "

We actually got some decent rope, cable ties and some straps and bungee ties, from Lidl. Dead cheap and quite effective.

Spreader bar easy and cheap to make.

Buy a broom handle, cut it in two but nit at half way to give two different lengths.

Some large screw eyes in either end.

Also chopsticks and rubber bands can be used effectively in nipples, wooden rulers and bands can make a very effective humbler.

And never forget the good old humble clothes peg. Can be used singly or as part of a zipper.

We find the rope we get from hardware stores needs 'breaking in' before they become really good.

Birmingham bizarre bazaar or London alt market for quality gear. You will also get loads of ideas on how to make stuff like spreader bars. It's also a great trip out if you have never been and are into bdsm.
