can anyone help me
i have huge thighs and have always used levee stockings as they were the only company that did them to fit me but sadly they have now gone into recievership so i am now stuck as to where to get them
i am a size 24 but with proper chunky thighs so when trying to find some new ones i ordered some that claimed to fit a size 28/30 and yet they were still too tight
i like hold ups but not a must as i always wore them with a sussie belt anyhoo
any suggestions gratefully recieved as i just love my stockings
cheers

7 til midnight on the velvet affair site they are. They also have some by dream girl but personally id stay away from them because anything ive ever had by dream girl has been very very small sized. |

There's a website I use called stockingshq which sells all sorts of styles and sizes, you get reasonably priced seconds too.
The European companies often do more in the size range than UK do.
I think the French brand Cervin go from small to xxx large.
The site used to have a forum so maybe you could ask others their brand and size experiences before buying.
Good luck. xx

I have always got my hold ups from Ann Summers, I have tried all different makes, but these seem to be the only ones that stay up and don't roll over at the top and they're reasonably priced too..

can't help with the stocking query but do understand the problem with them.
Rhet took me out for my birthday so I decided to wear hold ups. Well they were fine at first, we had a lovely meal and was ready for getiing back for last orders. Unfortunately we had missed the bus so we decided to walk to the next stop. Now I was fine in the warmth but because it was cold outside my thighs shrunk or something did because they started to slide down. It got to to stage I could only walk a few steps then the other would go. Talk about nora batty. The more I pulled them up the worse it got.
sussies are the way to go from now on lol |

I am in discussion with a UK manufacturer about making some large welt stockings, as well as long ans petite to cater for the smaller (pun not intended) markets that the large chains don't want to be bothered with, I realise I cannot promote my business on fab because I would get banned and I don;t want to do that, but there is a need for these stockings in the real world, so, with a bit of luck, xxxx |

we have talked so many times of how we would love to set up in business doing more niche market stockings as there really is a market for them but we have no knowledge of where to even start with it never mind the funds
good luck with it i hope its incredibly sucessful

Like you Bouncy, I get my hold-ups from M&S. Not only are they generously sized, a good price and comfy, they're excellent quality and have a nice wide 'sticky' band at the top so don't roll down. A good range of colours and styles too.
Best I've ever tried - I don't bother looking elsewhere now. |

I know this is a bit late in the day but you could also try Jennifer's in Ringwood as they cater for the TV market and some, like me are entirely unconvincing being the best part of 15st and a rugby player! |
