The best way to start any conversation is to ask an open ended question. If you ask how someone is they only need to say "fine" and that's the conversation over.

Its no guarantee of a reply but if you introduce yourself, say what interests you about the people you're talking to and ask a question that needs more than a one word answer.

There and to the left a bit

Well you've got a decent profile blurb OP that obviously shows you have a sense of humour and a good idea of what you are looking for and can offer - why not apply some of that to your messages? Pick out things about the person you are contacting's profile and use those as points to expand on.

Most people would delete a 'how are you' message. Use the skills in your profile in your messages.

Most importantly get meet verified - club or social, that is also a big red flag.

Oh and read the profile of who you're messaging. A lot of people will give you some basic don'ts which can give you an inkling of what they want.

If it's a couple, I'd be sure to address both of them, unless it states the guys a cuck. Most couples wish to be spoken to as such, unless the guy gets off on being ignored (apparently this isn't as uncommon as you'd think).

A "how are you" message rarely gets a reply from me. Because after I've replied, it's usually followed by "what you up to?".

When I send a first message I base it on something on the profile, status message or something in a photo.

You say your partner is on here. Why doesn't she verify you?

Didn't notice that. 3 years, no veris, but saying having a swing partner - will struggle.

Isn't that cheating the system?

How is it cheating for someone you have genuinely met to verify you?

I'm gettin exhausted posting original greeting messages just for no reply or acknowledgment. Even a no thanks is better than nothing.

Ask a question about their profile...which clubs they like and why for example...

Never ask how they are !

Brighton - even Hove!

You have an interesting profile text. Some people won't bother replying to even the best well constructed message if the profile text and pics are not good.

For me personally, one dick pic is plenty in one profile. I think your rock climbing pic is awesome. Your profile is well written. If your partner uses the same Internet connection an you, she won't be able to verify you. Tootle off to a club or social.

You have been given some great advise about messages already. Hope things pick up for you.
