"has anyone ever been recognised on here by someone who knows you "
I'm sure it happens all of the time. For most people on here, they are as keen to keep their own privacy as anyone else so the general process is to block and forget.
Apart from meeting with Anita's cousin once, we have not had any issues with encountering anyone we know.

There are always a lot of similar threads to this.
As usual my reply is:
My twin sister and her husband are on fab and are forum users too, they might comment on this later.
I bumped into them at a club last year. I also bumped into my uncle and his wife at the same club about 8 weeks ago.

Yeah, guy i went on a date with 18 months ago recognised me. Meeting him next week for drinks and fun.
Was totally shocked that he knew it was me though! |

There is two I've seen whom are both married. I've not said anything just avoid any type of contact on here!

We have been in the scene for about 20 years. We were with a young lady at a very well known club. And her mum and dad walked into a group room while the 3 of us were playing. That was interesting.  |

Yes, just last last week! After swooping pics and chatting, the guy recognised me. I thought I recognised him but wasn't sure. Anyway, we were friends 12 years ago and both fancied each other, but never said, due to circumstances.
We met up this week and it was just like old times, no awkwardness or stilted conversation, and with added fun  |

Yes seen a few we recognise and a few we know . Replied to both never really been an issue all here for the same fun met some didn't others and one cple we knew veerywe cammed with and although see each other at functions never anything is mentioned lol but and secret a turn on.ws fun  |

Just recognised a couple on here. Seen them at a fairly regular vanilla gathering. Had been admiring them so it wasn't too difficult. Would like a fab meet but don't want to make things awkward. Thinking of what to do... Any advice? |

I've been recognised on fabguys by a guy who knows me but I don't know who it is , frustrated to say the least. But both discrete. Also found my best mates son on here and fabguys. That was a surprise especially after we probably shower together hundreds of times after football!

I've recognised a few I know but the strangest part is seeing people you don't know but recognising them when you're food shopping. I'd never approach them though, discretion is key |

Yes got recognised by my aunt and uncle after sending then a face pic and other pic asking for a meet not realising itnwas them obviously to my horror got a message back saying who and I s##t myself. All ok now we laugh about it and now chat openly about swinging |

Other thing is bumping into people you know in the swinging world out in the general world around - maybe with family / their children, etc. Working out a polite greeting which wouldn't look out-of-place given rather passionate greeting you are more familiar with  |

The more we get into this lifestyle, the less we care who knows..... we find it very liberating telling friends that we go to clubs etc..... my own mother and father have even started to guess and we didn't deny it..
Nobody is doing anything wrong, and I think more people are either doing it or thinking of doing it than we all think. |

Nods, it's when you see the same person on different sites, with very different wants, you wonder what they're really looking for.

Story of our life as Kim rather than me is recognized almost everywhere she goes not because of being a swinger but because of her porn career, we also get swingers introduce themselves in unlikely places like supermarkets pubs etc as they think because of what we do we're fair game. |

I recognised our neighbour.
He needed a verification so I did the neighbourly thing and gave him one (the verification).
He's a single guy and while it's not affected our relationship any, I find it funny that he's more worried about people finding out than we are (won't be from us)

We were once recognised by our neighbours. For two years they said nothing and on the day we moved from Scotland to Devon, they told us. We thought it was really good of them to be so discrete for so long.
Compare that to the guy in a club who bought up our pics on his phone, and showed them to our friends!
The only person we have ever recognised messaged us a few years ago, was politely refused, blocked to prevent his embarrassment, and we still see him and his wife at the gym to this day.
We occassionally get messages from people saying they think they just saw us somewhere. Come to think of it, we seem to get recognised in Supermarkets more than anywhere else!

yup, recognised within 2 weeks of being on here by a friend.
Totally unexpected as he is in a relationship and expecting a baby soon.
Requested that he does not share his find with the rest of our friends. I guess it is tricky to keep it private but we want a clear distinction between our personal lives and our swinging alter egos (if that's possible!) |

Just yesterday I was chatting to a guy and when I sent him a couple of pics showing my face it turned out we'd worked together a couple of years ago. He's out and instantly said not to worry as he's discrete, but was surprised to find me on fab as he'd thought I was homophobic! We had a really nice chat. |
