Brighton - even Hove!

We always park for free in the national trust car park and walk along.

How do you park for free at the NT?

Currently I am parked on the road. If you keep driving along you see some gates on both sides of the road. Park there and you can walk strait down. It's a beautiful day for it!

Join the national trust and you get free parking.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

As others have said, park as close to the Fire Point on Ferry Road. This will be obvious due to other cars parked nearby! If you`ve come from Corfe Castle direction and will be returning that way, turn your car and face that way first because if the ferry is busy it will be ages before you can turn and go back the way you want. It can also be as quick to go into Swanage and go back that way instead of going directly to Corfe from Studland! When you start walking down the track (wear sensible shoes!) you will wonder if you`ve gone the right way. The track is quite hard on the feet and the last bit through the dunes is energy sapping due to the sand being soft. The walk from the NT car park is longer but easier, especially if you walk along the shore and not through the dunes. Plus, if you need the loo or would like a coffee before venturing onto the beach, that is where the facilities are!
