Okay, I'm approaching a significant age later on and I've always fancied getting a piercing. Its not something I've ever done before, not even an ear.
I'd like something that can be discrete, so ear, nose tongue are pretty much out of the question. Although tongue could be quite good fun 
So I've been thinking of nipple or cock, the only thing that plays on my mind is the discomfort after or the embarrassment when getting either of them done.
What are others experience with getting these things done? |

I've got a number of piercings and had no problem getting them done, they're professional people so you have nothing to worry about.
Do a bit of research at the different piercings you can get and look at the different healing times, also speak to the piercer for any advice they're extremely helpful

I (Mr) had my right nipple pierced 4 years ago. Hurt like f#%k.. I mean really hurt.. Fortunately, it settle down very quickly and I had no issues at all.. Go for it..
I ended up removing mine but I am happy I did it..
I really dong think you need to worry about being embarrassed.. |

I have had my inner pussy lip, but it was taken out by my lover and by the time I got to see him again 5 days later it had healed up.
I had my clit hood done on Friday it hurt having it done but now it's fine. Am sure in the next hr or so I will find out how it is as my lover is coming to visit lol |

I've had my nippple and a Prince Albert piercing done, and can honestly say I'd prefer the PA any day , a lot less painful than the nipple and heals really really quickly the only downside is some people are put off by it but as I say it can always be taken out when needed |

I've had my ears, eyebrow and lip pierced in the past but don't have any in now. I feel I've outgrew them.
When I got my eyebrow done, my cousin had his nipple done at the same time. There was a gentleman in the reception covered from head to toe in piercings and tattoo's and he said the worst pain of them all was his nipple. The reaction of my cousin after he got his done solidified the mans comment! |

I had both of mine done many years ago, along with other piercings too, and I can honestly say that absolutely nothing hurt as bad as those two.
Most are a very bearable pain but these actually floored me. I think it was because I had them sunk so deep though.
As for the P.A., that was not a problem at all. Quite painless as it goes and heals very quickly.  |

Go for it. Nipple piercing hurts like hell and I had them done a year apart but well worth it. As for genitals? The P.A was pretty painless as it was well anethnatised and the ones in my nuts was similar to a bee/nettle sting. However,the endorphins soon kick in and reduce the pain to a gentle throbbing. Its all over and done in a few seconds and every piercing professional has seen their fair share of pricks n pussys so dont worry about that(after all,you are on a swingers site!) The important thing is after care which you must stick to religously as a gammy nipple is excrusiatingly painfull. |

I've had both nipples, nose, monroe (cheek piercing), belly button, tongue and clit hood done. I've had sex with a guy with a PA.
I loved the PA, definitely like to experience it again.
My clot good hurt like a bitch for a split second then was fine, had sex the next day. All others took a bit longer, my tongue being the longest and most painful.
Go for it. You have nothing to feel embarrassed about as it's their job. But think carefully as the healing process and time is different for them all |

I've had and still have several piercings, none of which hurt much apart from the initial few seconds but everyone's pain threshold is different and everyone's body parts are different, some more suitable for piercing than others, I was told by my piercer that I had the perfect nipples for it and I love them. My friend had hers done at the same time and hers hurt for ages. If you fancy it, just do it but ask the professionals advice for what would be best for you. |

I can imagine that piercings a nipple is more painful for men as it has more niece endings in it than for women.
On doing a bit of reading about the process, it says to abstain from sex (Inc oral and self pleasure) until it heels up quoting 6~8 weeks. Plus having the fun and games of controlling where the pee goes.

I had both my nipples pierced for my birthday in march. I don't think it hurt that much at all really. Yes they were very sore and felt bruised after for a couple of days but then fine after that. I say go for it x |

I had a pa done about 6 years ago and I love it the only drawback is having to sit down to pee as the flow is very hard to control and if you meet someone that doesn't like it you can allways take it out and pop it back in later |

I've got several piercings and didn't find any of them particularly painful,a couple were slightly uncomfortable when I had them done but as someone else has already posted,everybody's pain threshold is different.
Do your research and make sure you visit a reputable piercer as piercings can be a lot of trouble if done incorrectly or if your aftercare isn't up to scratch.
Nothing to be embarrassed about either,any decent piercer will have seen it all before |

My nipple piercing didn't really hurt much getting pierced but the pain after is pretty bad, took mine about 2 months to heal although for some people it's a lot longer! Definitely makes it more sensitive, 10+ years later and it's still pierced |

I started with a nipple piercing at a one day music festival. No freeze spray or anything and it hurt like hell. That was just the clamp! Then the needle came so hurt twice as much! Bad idea getting it done as it kept getting knocked in the crowd. Lesson learnt.
Next was a PA. Not as painful as the nipple but I bled. Had to get some panty liners to stop the blood coming through my pants and trousers for the first day or two. After it had settled it didn't take long till I wanted to get a larger gauge. Got stretched. That hurt! After that the stretch came naturally until I got to 10mm and the weight of the ring got a bit daft. I eventually gave up wearing it because it could be uncomfortable and I thought it was in danger of just wearing right through. Still pop it in for special occasions.
After that came the Frenum. That is now stretched to 5mm with 10mm ball ends and is much more comfortable. I rarely take it out and it is usually well received by the ladies. |

I have a frenulum piercing, It's generated some interest and Sarah really likes it. She enjoys playing with it during oral.
It was not painful to get done, bled a little and healed fully in a couple of months. We had sex a couple of days after having it done and it was ok.
I would say choose what you want, I did ton's of research before I had mine done it literally took less than a minute and being the oddball I am, I enjoyed watching it being done. Totally professional service at NPNG in Shipley. She didn't even laugh at how tiny my cock is! |

Well after a bit of working out what to do and when, plus a good chat with the piercer while a friend I was with had their tattoo done. I took the plunge last week and got a lower frenum. Its my first piercing and must say it wasn't as bad as I had feared, so much so that I'm thinking about getting a few more done to create a ladder  , so long as things heal up nicely. |

I have had both my nipple and Prince Albert done, and can confidently say that the PA was much less painful and healed much quicker.
Getting an erection was the last thing on my mind tbh!  I was much more preoccupied with the needle he was about to stick through it! |

I have a guiche (perineum) piercing. Basically a ring (originally a barbell) about half way between ball sack and bum hole. It's discreet in the sense that nobody gets to see it unless I bend over naked, and it doesn't set off airport metal detectors
I was told it would feel nice when I walked. It was sore when I first had it done, and then it had no sensation at all. I had a bigger ring put in and it felt nice for about half an hour. Then back to forgetting it's even there again.
It gets some interesting reactions when someone finds it by surprise. I've had one or two pull on it, thinking it shouldn't be there, but most twig what it is straight away.
It makes shaving that area rather difficult. And in all honesty, if I'd known I would get so little sensation from it, I probably wouldn't have bothered. Though somewhat contradictory to that, I keep thinking of getting another one about 1cm in front of it and maybe another the same distance behind. Bigger jewellery makes it sore, but adding weight creates a nice sensation. I fancy having more so I could link them with chain and add a bit of weight and movement that way. |

Hi I am a piercer I own safer piercing uk my recommendation is nipple a bit painful but it's safer. Any genital piercing that enters a vagina can and does pick up bacteria. This can then be passed on if you have multi partners. It is often a put off to ladies. Yes you can remove it there is still the hole that can pick up any germs to pass on. Think safety. Be safe |

I prefer not to take my guiche out unless I'm changing the jewellery. It is impossible to see directly and a mirror just confuses me, so I have to do it by feel. I can get it out easily enough and even get the ring back in after a couple of tries, but doing the ball closure purely by feel is very hit and miss, and sometimes takes me ages. |

I've didn't know that the vagina can be pierced? If you mean the labia and the area of the vulva, surely any piercing in that area is safe once it's healed? Unless it suffers any infection or trauma, how can bacteria get into the bloodstream?

Nobody seems to have picked up on discomfort and embarrassment. Including me last time round.
Discomfort: I had a blood sample taken at the hospital the same week. It hurt more than my guiche piercing did. But it depends on the sensitivity of the area being pierced. I believe an ampallang (horizontal bar right through the head of the penis) is one of the most painful. Afterwards, my guiche was tender for a few weeks, but not stinging or especially painful. When I had my ears done (Just went to Claire's) it felt hot, rather than painful.
Embarrassment: if you're getting a genital piercing, go somewhere that lists them on their price list. I got my guiche done at such a place, but have been to others to have the jewellery changed when I wasn't confident about doing it myself. I've had total acceptance. I've had one politely make excuses to not do it. I've had one ask me what a guiche was, and look at me in horror as some kind of pervert when I explained it to them. That was on Langworthy Road in Salford for those who want to avoid it.
I'd still recommend the guiche if you want a discreet genital piercing. Nobody will see it unless you bend over while naked. |

That's a shame, as they're really pretty to have, but it sounds like you gave it a good try.
I'm on my third go at a navel piercing. The first time, it was done too high and shallow and even though it healed, it started to reject, like your Christina. The second time, the guy pierced it crooked, with the top hole too high above the navel. This caused the piercing to reject or migrate, as there wasn't enough room in the jewellery to accommodate the swelling and thus made the jewellery start the twist to the side, with the top hole becoming very irritated. This time, I went to a more reputable piercer who's done a 'floating' navel, where the jewel is at the top hole and a flat disk in the navel. 5 weeks in and it's doing fine! |

I have lots of piercings. The first one i went for was my nipple. I didn't find it sore but everyones different. As foe proper intimates it wasn't awkward but thats cause by the time i got it done i was really good friends witb my piercers. So my advice is talk to them and have a laugh if you go for a pa or something like that then just relax and try not to annoy then as they can make it uncomfortable if yoy annoy them haha. Good luck |

They hurt more than my VCH, too. When I had my left nip repierced, the piercer was so quick, it cause my left arm to involuntary raise up - luckily, after it had been done. It did hurt for the rest of the day, but thank goodness for partner's painkillers!

I have had a cock piercing (Prince Albert). I still have a tongue piercing.
Getting my cock pierced was extremely painful. After getting it done for the next 7 days it hurt when I had a piss. I had to wait for it to heal before having unprotected sex or receiving oral sex. It hurts for about 5 seconds, over very very quickly. Healing is a doddle. More or less recovered within a week, but to "fully heal" you would be looking at 6 weeks to avoid jacuzzis and unprotected / oral sex.

Had my lorum done. Hardly any pain, just like a sting and healed ok. After care and keep it clean for first month or two is crucial. Feels great now and thinking of getting another. |

How people experiences pain is subjective to that person. I recently had a daith and 4th lobe piercings n one sitting. The daith was done first. The lobes hurt more than the daith, probably due to my adrenaline wearing off by the time the lobes were done. So if he had both piercings done together, it's possible that if his PA was done first, his adrenaline had worn off when his nipples were done. It's know that some studios offer doing lobe piercings simultaneously to reduce any pain for children. |
