Good afternoon all!
I was hoping to get some advice, I understand on everyone is different, but what are people favoured approach for an opening message, I always try to be polite, but I always feel like it doesn't work in my favour as it seems more like a message for a dating website!
What do you guys think and how do you approach it?
Thanks |

Thanks for your reply!
Something subtle mentioning something you've touched on,
Or stating you've read the profile and reference something within it, a bit more forward ?
Thanks |

Read the profile see if it's what your looking for and send an I'm interested message, care to chat & swap face pics, that's enough for me |

I tend to open with a sly reference and attach a face pic, but I find myself still getting ignored a high percentage of the time, is there anything else I should be aware of? |

You could say something like " I see from your verifications you have often been to the hot tub parties in Hull. I'm from Hull. What did you think of them and would you recommend them ? " Something to get a conversation started rather than just "I like your pics" or "wanna meet" or "hey".

I see what you mean! I'll have to give that a go! I do fear writing a long message may get it ignored through opening it and going oh bloody hell and ignoring it haha.
Thanks |

I got much greater response after I'd written a decently informative and engaging profile.
That way, I could keep the opening message relevant to their profile but succinct.
It's worked fine for me in any case. |

I've hadn't a read of your profile I won't steal it, but I will make mine a bit more informative and hopefully something to set apart from the numerous other single males!
Thank you |

You're welcome.
Your profile is your shop window. |

"I've had a quick fiddle with it off of the top of my head! Hopefully you can give some pointers if that's okay? "
That's better than before but I found myself tweaking and editing mine for quite some time before I was happy with it. Making it informative and engaging is key to making it stand out. |

"I'll have to sit down and have a deeper think about it some day, thank you for your advice! Much appreciated! "
Keep gradually embellishing your profile and don't put off doing it otherwise you'll miss out |

Most messages from single men will be ignored because of the numbers here. People look at the profile of message senders, so keep it in top shape.
Politeness works only. Be friendly, using what you've learned from the profile you're responding to, to steer what you say.
Only contact people who are looking for someone like you and have shared interests.
Good luck! |

No matter how long or short the message is I'll look at the profile first and check location, availability and height amongst other things. Unless it's a 'faf' type then it's just binned. Or a big paragraph of what they want to do to me!!
Something short and sweet seems good compromise...
"Hi V, I've read your profile and I think we could get on as we have similar interests. Why don't you take a look at mine and see what you think? I've attached a face pic...."

I've started to put, face pic inside, in the title as I think most women see a message from a man and a photos attached and just think great another cock pic! Which is something I never send! Haha |

"Politeness with a bit of humour goes a long way for us x"
The humour is the most difficult part trying to judge someone's tolerance through a usually short profile! Haha |

In what way a 'sly' reference, for what reason?
Perhaps be a little more direct instead.
