try after shaving step out of bath or shower cover shaved area with baby oil massage into skin then resume showering to wash out . will trap mousture in the skin keeping it soft and supple .also try using hair conditioner as your shaving foam again softens the hair etc |

When i first started shaving my lady bits i used to get a rash but i have found that since shaving frequently i no longer get a rash. Normally i use Tesco mens shaving foam (i prefer the smell compared to the ladies shaving foam). I give a quick wash with a hot flannel then use the shaving foam and a mens wilkinsons triple blade disposable shaver all over. Then add more foam and use a new unused disposable shaver to go over the area again. I use the new disposable shaver for a week. Then have a bath and have smooth lady bits with no rash |

I also use hair conditioner instead of shaving foam/gel, shave in direction of hair growth and use lots of e45 cream afterwards and for a day or two afterwards.

"Quick question. Recently started shaving a lot more. Getting a bit of skin irratation after shaving pubic area. Any tips on solving this or any creams anybody uses?
"
This is exactly why medical advice is do not shave the pubic region if you wish to avoid Sties.
The irritation as you call it is a series of micro abrasions each and everyone a prefect route for infection
Safe play not only includes the use of condoms but knowing the actions like shaving can lead to infection

I use Veet for sensitive skin....no issues, no problems and it takes longer for the hair to grow back than shaving. |

Shower using a good exfolitor on the area... Shave with a new blade.
Once that's done use a hot towel on the area followed by a good moisturiser(Nivea sensative work well for me)...
Personally, I found alcohol based after shave used to cause me skin irration... So hope that helps! |

As already said, a fresh blade and cut in the direction of growth.
Warm water is better than any lotion for softening hair before the shave and a tip that my dad gave me as a boy is to splash cold water on the area after shaving, this helps close the pores of the skin. Some form of balm/ lotion after that to nourish the skin may help.
We stopped using shaving foam or gels because of irritation and instead we now just use our normal Ph neutral soap (cussons) that we usually wash with, it does a great job of lubricating the blade as you cut, there are less chemicals and it's cheaper as you already have it.
Try the cold water splash after shaving though, it really does help and have passed it on to our boys too when they started. |

Question - a lot of people are saying to shave every few days to get used to it and a lot of people are also recommending using a new blade.
Is this a new blade every few day because that's going to mount up?! |

I find a new blade can cause me irritation so I use it on my face a few times 1st to break it in. It's pretty easy to keep on top of every few days or once a week. The longer it's left the more you have to remove. Talc makes you extra soft and smooth as well as stopping your skin getting clammy |

Found a mix of Surgical Spirit and Aloe Vera Gel works fantastically well...We were on a nudey hol and I went for the full removal and itched like buggery and tried aftershave and AV in desperation...And it worked...So well we're thinking of doing it in bulk and marketing it !! |

Wife had this issue too. She read an artical written by a pole dancer she said " wash prior to shaving put baby oil on area before the shaving foam then shave. After shaving rinse throughly free from soap, dry throughly, then apply a roll on unscented deodorant".
This has worked perfectly for tge last 4 years!! |

Aftershave balm is good to calm it down and change your underwear for something that doesn't have the elasticated waist across where you've shaved. You could go commando until your body gets used to it. |

one tip if you need a soothing cream if a little rash does break out and react to e45 like it do... then try sudocream.. just a little rubbed over the area... creates a layer that also helps reduce chaffing once the rash forms |
