Ok so ladies, this can't just be me this happens to?!
Talking to someone on kik (or any other messaging app), it's going well... then the person drops off the face of the earth... then 2/3 months later they message out the blue expecting things to be as they were like nothing happened (or send no message at all and just a dick pic!)
Men, can I ask why some people do this?!
I am aware both sexes may well be guilty of this and people are within their rights to not be interested in a meet any more so going quiet is logical, but to message out the blue again seems a bit weird does it not?! |

We have this a lot with ladies .. so I don't accept new people on it anymore. .talk on here or not at all. |

Not so much Kik because I rarely use it now but there are a couple of guys who send me random texts every so often. One, it never worked out and the other, I slept with once in 2015 and then he found love in his life and had to leave Fab.
I'm the same as you OP, it isn't going to restart where it left off. I don't know why they think it's going to get anywhere. |

Yep it happens and most of the time its with guys who are attached but make out they're single and have to keep a low profile in the home environment. Most likely too many questions being asked. Normal excuse is they've been really busy lol |

Have had this a few times,both on kik and on here, either with couples been planning to meet or ladies. On reflection I'm 99% sure the single ladies were in fact blokes. |

I don't do this, if I have to go offline for a while I will say so and then give the reason.
The issue i have is the unread messages. I do understand people are busy and get a over friendly amount of attention. But it does get annoying at times to see a list of unanswered messages. |

Obviously trying their chances after having a dry spot. Fuck knows why they think it'd work like that. I don't ever not reply back though. I only really give my Kik out to friends or people I've met a few times. |

Lol yes this happens to me, especially on KIK. I find newbies trying to deal with the whole aspect of swinging go through this.... always finding their way back to fab. I'll admit I've been on and of fab over the last 3 years. I am staying for sure this time round ........ I think  |

I always used to think kik is a waste of time and I won't need it or ever use it.
Well...
I just downloaded it recently and discovered it is good.

OP, unless dick pics are your thing, I'd say it's a good filter for those guys, walk away from him.
Some people also just don't really understand manners and politeness. If I know I'm going to be offline for a while, or even just want a break, I always politely tell the other person. Then when I come back, it's a simple hello stranger type message.
Some people just don't get politeness, it costs nothing, but failure to display it costs everything. |

it's almost making me think it's the same person ... had this happen exactly as you put it ... I've now deleted kik .. but saying that even the very few people I have on whatsapp had this happen on there too .. pretty much have lost faith in decency in anyone now. |

Got to say never had this of guys but have off couples the chat away and then suddenly stop we put it down to one of them we're interested but the other wasn't. We've also had it a lot off single women's profile we put it down to a fake account block and move on lol. |

I do use it as a filter!
If I feel that a connection was built and then them not replying happens, I don't meet them.

When I was on here before I remember this happening ! Usually Sunday morning when they had the morning after the night before horn ! I used to think they must send the pics to all their contacts at once and see if anyone bites - hence the lack of message !
I used it as a way of pruning down my contact list and blocking. |

Getting contacted out of the blue? I'm seriously guilty of blocking people if it's not what I'm after at the time, or if I've got a better offer etc. Then unblocking and messaging if I'm free suddenly or have an itch that needs scratching.
I know other people do it to, I met some one, had a coffee went on to play. A few days later, I sent a message, got the 'device off thing' auto reply.
Then a month or so later they got back in touch totally out the blue, and have done a couple of times.  |

This has happened to me before a couple of times.
Although once was my fault. I thought she hadn't replied to my message and dropped out. So I am not one to be desperate; if they stopped talking they stopped talking right. I aint going to pester people I am worth more than that. Anyway about a month later looking on kik I notice that it was acactually her who left the last message. Think she thought I stopped talking to her. Technically I did but by accident. What a silly sausage. |

Normally I find no it's the women who disappears when all seems to be going well and you hear nothing and then hey how are you after a few months.
Regarding dick pics, I don't send them unless asked, if sure most women would want a face pic of who they are chatting too. |

If I've gone quiet on someone, it's for good reason... i.e dick pics, inappropriate messages, pestering me to meet. If I go quiet, I won't message again!
Unfortunately people take rejection too hard and as harsh as it is, I can't be bothered to explain why someone's annoyed me I just move on with my life and forget it! |

This is no defence, but sometimes I literally just forget. I'll get a message when in the middle of something, and intend to reply to it later, and a week or so goes by until I think 'bugger, meant to respond'.

I often find one of two things happens...
Either someone else has your attention or indeed as some people say; married, fanatasist
Or how i feel and strongly at that... Some people just can't communicate or worse communicate with more than one person also monogomy in talking |

I don't use Kik to message before meeting men from here. I found they all, with one exception just wanted something to wank over. I only have 1 contact on there I chat to occasionally.
My phone doesn't notify me when I get a Kik message anyway, apart from the initial ping,so I often miss messages. |

Had bad experiences with kik some of the fakes out there love it. My bad experiences are not hearing "no means no" when demand pics and vids. They send pics without even wanting them sent to me lol x because they have sent them they expect em. Other experiences are non talkers never chat in months etc And scammers love kik mainly with stolen pics |

We have just had this. Been chatting getting on really well for a few weeks. Club meet booked for tomorrow and this morning leaves our Kik chat and Fab. A simple I am not interested anyone more or this isn't for me would have been polite..

I actually find this quite a joke,
This is all that happens to me on this website, arrange meets and talking properly for days and soon as it comes to the night before the meet, "bang" they're gone.
Only to message a week or two later saying "oh sorry I've been really busy" yet seen them online on fab constantly since you were suppose to meet.
Time wasters, this has happened 16 times to me now I've counted on my KIK because I don't just add people for the sake of it or just to send pictures like most.
