"Do women actually like guys with long hair or should I give up on the heavy metal look"
Most probably not but don't cave to pressure to 'conform' for the sake of a bit of sex either. I've very long hair and it's not stopped me on here.
Just be yourself and rock the locks! |

I had long hair for around 29 years and then after a few years short started growing it again last year.
I've honesty never stopped to consider whether it increases or decreases my chances of getting a shag |

It's not something I particularly like on a guy, but if you like it then keep it! Never change your appearance in the hope of pleasing other's, if they don't like you for you, then they aren't worth your time anyway xx |

I used to love it in the 90's. It suits you and if you like it keep it. Or cut it and if you don't like it shorter grow it again.
I don't think it will make much difference to your fab experience! |

I have this same internal argument every day. Had long hair since I was about 10, I love it but I look too girly so I'm told. I've never got it cut to look better for others, but people constantly telling you to get a hair cut can get fucking tiresome. I look pretty afeminate though, so it's different I guess. |

I got loads of meets with long hair on an old profile, considering growing it back, was a great talking point at clubs, always fun to wander round with women pulling it as you walk past |

Keep it, it suits you. If you like having long hair then don't change it just for a bit of fun, there will be someone that loves it.
With hair almost down to my bum I gave up worrying a long time ago |

It's a turn off for me, but take the advice above - if you like it, keep it! There are probably the same number of women on either side of the fence so you should just go with what you like & don't worry about it! x |

I'd agree that you should focus on how your hair makes you feel, rather than on some people first impressions of you.
Still if you want to experiment with your look, you could try some interesting ways of wearing it up, so it looks like a fuller short do. |

In the 70's my mum told me to be different from the crowd.... so took it upon herself to turn me into a Mod! These days I just get it cut when I feel like it and I'm pretty sure a summer sheering is on the horizon. |

"people constantly telling you to get a hair cut can get fucking tiresome."
The only people that tell my boyfriend to get a haircut are his mum and strangers with male pattern baldness.
"Hahaha, the man holding an axe asks if his long hair is a problem!!!
"
OP do you consider giving up on heavy metal all together or just the "heavy metal look"? I hear the Justin Bieber look is popular with women!
Seriously though, long hair on men is becoming more and more mainstream - perhaps as the next fashion frontier after facial hair became so ubiquitous. I am curious to see how this one will pan out, as tending to long hair (esp. past shoulder length) is high maintenance. |

Mmmmmm mmmm ! Long hair on a big masculine man is my definitive turn on.
(Disclaimer: I still have to like your face and find your personality attractive too.)
Shame there are so few in my area.
Maybe the sixties fashion will come around again if I wait long enough - but who would like to have sex with a 90 year old ??

Long hair on a man is a big turn off for me.
Which is kind of funny, seeing as i'm a woman with short hair who often gets told i'd be more feminine/attractive if i grew it long.
It takes a certain type of strength and character to go against the accepted norm. If you like it, and it gives out the image you want to portray, then sod what anyone else thinks. If I had long hair and no tattoos I wouldn't be "me". |

From blokes point of view you're only 20 so don't change yourself just to get some sex it will come
You really rock that look so why change it? it suits who you are as a person and as some have already said some will like it some will not |

Long hair is only attractive when it's clean.
Greasy lanky hair is unattractive, and it always looks wrong if the man is thinning on top.
Otherwise no problem, it also adds a different sensual element of stroking along my body when I'm underneath |

Dude you're in a heavy metal band, don't do something just because it conforms to what others think. Be an individual, be you. Not like we have women asking if men prefer them with with short or long hair. |

In my own personal experience I find long hair is very much a love/hate style and look for most women and not many fence sitters. Am generalising of course though.
Do what makes you comfortable and don't care what others say or do. If you're happy in yourself you'll be easier to talk to/more approachable as it were aswell |

Brock O'Hurn, 6'8" of pure perfection!
Or Pete Steele of Type O Negative (RIP)"
He always looked a bit too angry for my liking |

I don't do mroe than trim my beard and nethers and keep my hair relatively tidy but long. It's personal preference, just like everything else. I'd say there's more that don't like it than do but honestly, does it matter as long as you find someone who you click with that does! |

I don't. But others might
I lie. I like it on Matthew Gubler; the guy who plays Dr Spencer Reid; he is my heart-throb. And yes, my partner knows.

I had long hair as a teenager, then had to have it short because of work for years. I'm now free to wear it as I like.... so have grown it again and love feeling like me
OP, follow your own path as many others suggested. |
