If you love someone so much that it takes up your whole life I think you should question whether its tipped over in to obsession. I know that sometimes in the first stages of grief for losing a loved one by loss of any kind it can occupy your waking and sleeping thoughts for some time. In that case time will dull the pain. If its unrequited love for someone you dont really know that's a different matter.
