Hi all, just wondering if it's a better idea to go to socials further away from you. Wouldn't want to bump into ppl I knew regardless that they were there too for same reasons. Some don't stay swingers and blab about you. Thoughts on this.

Life's too short?

But if everyone had the same outlook wouldn't the chances of bumping into someone you knew further afield the same?

all that people do at a social is socialise..... they aren't play events, you aren't going to see them in some compromising position.... its a drink, its talking to people, its no more than any normal night out in a city centre....

if others are going to far away socials it's possible people you know are doing that and you bump into them anyway.

i only go to local socials, or ones where i know people i know are going to, because i can't travel so it's pointless for me to go to any where it's too far for me to meet anyone again.

I don't know enough people locally, to worry about bumping into anyone who'd recognise me.

The only awkward person, might be my ex sister-in-law, because she's such a nosey cow.

Whatever I'm doing would be none of her business anyway but I'd still be happier if she didn't know anything about my private life.

I thought the whole point of going to socials near you was because they were near you, so you could meet others who are also near you?

anyone was welcome to mine, i do point out to a few (if they're not local, and it's rare they aren't) that if they're not travelling here regular to meet people then they might be wasting their time but they're still welcome.

it's a good way to build up confidence and get verified as genuine also.
