Avoids?

Two stars to the left and keep going.

I've just received a message informing me that I have 2 "avoids" on my profile.

Now, I have always prided myself on being non-pushy and polite and whilst I feel the verifications I can see speak positively about me, I confess to being a little upset that apparently someone has told people to avoid me.

a) I didn't know you could post an "avoid" on anyone's profile.

b) I've never seen "avoids" on anyone else's profile, furthermore, if I can't see them on mine or ascertain why someone has put them there, how am I supposed to defend myself?

So I'm asking the forum and perhaps the site admins; Do avoids exist? If they do have I got any? If I have, what course of action can I take to defend myself or have them removed (as I'm sure I've been careful enough not to upset anyone).

Or is this just some sort of idiot hoax (as if there's not enugh to deal with on here).

Any advice gratefully received.

There's private notes you can add to profiles... So if someone is saying you have avoid on yours.. It's because they added it to their notes

I wouldn't take any notice. Had it myself. It could be a number of things. Said no to someone. Met someone then never met them again. Blocked someone. Or something you have said in the forum's. Take you're pick. Gossip travels. People talk.

Sounds like someone is pulling your leg. They may have put a note in their notes section but that is their business.

By 'avoids' they possibly mean this gs that make them avoid a profile.

Unable to accommodate, no photos or just cock shots, no age range etc. are all common 'avoids'.

I think you're asking if there is an 'official' tab or marker on profiles that says avoid? There isn't that I'm aware of. I suspect someone is just shit stirring

I would assume they mean that you have 2 interests ticked that they don't like and avoid any profile that likes those things.

If you can turn a negative into a positive it probably means you have dodged a bullet...

just block them so they cant tell you anything else about your profile you don't wish to know

Thank you all for your thoughts/advice on this.

I think you're probably right in that there is something on my profile THEY term as "avoid". Although to then send a message to that person using that terminology seems a little clinical to me. All they had to say was "thanks but no thanks" or "sorry not for us". Even the usual wall of silence would have been preferable I think.

Ah well, I'll consign that one to the dustbin of ignorance I think.

Many thanks again. Happy fabbing all.
