We would like fellow members thoughts on something.

Our local club has separate changing facilities and toilets for male and female.

Where should a TV get ready ? We are not comfortable with a guy being close to Sara when changing.

Your thoughts ??

They should get ready where they feel most comfortable.

They're there for the same reason as the rest of us, and unless he's trying his luck, then is there any real harm?

If he's there to dress up, then surely he feels more comfortable doing that in a female environment.

Its just my opinion, but I don't see why clubs don't just have mixed sex changing areas. We should be comfortable to get changed together regardless of who we are or what our preferences are x

As a pre op trans girl, I change in the ladies or couples change rooms.

I'm not comfortable with it. I'm not perving the other ladies. TBH I'm not interested in women. They do take an awful lot of interest in me as I swap outfits though. Unwanted interest.

Usually in the ladies, or if they arrive at the club in drab mode some clubs allow them entry before the club is open to glam up.

I happily get changed when there are TV girls there at the same time. They are always respectful and none of them have ever put a foot wrong or said a word out of place.

My thoughts are that this .

For a supposedly broad minded couple in the swinging lifestyle , this seems an extremely narrow minded and judgemental attitude .

What exactly do you think the tv is going to get from being close to Sarah when getting changed ? Have there been any instances of the tv wanting to get too intimate with her when getting changed ? Forgive me if I'm wrong , but I would think the tv would be concentrating on getting changed , and wouldn't present any danger at all to Sarah .

I'm surprised clubs would bother to have separate men's and women's changing areas.

Not sure I understand why people would be bothered about them being mixed areas.

Can anyone explain why they would want to be separate?

I can't fathom why they would have separate male and female changing.. I have seen places with separate couples changing...

Perhaps if you're uncomfortable with the people you might meet at a club then don't go to a club?

I don't understand the comfortable bit! If she has issues she can get changed in the toilets!

That's a very bigoted view in my opinion. I love seeing t girls getting glammed up but I don't avidly watch them. You're making out these lovely guys/gals are 'things' rather than people. I have no issue with mixed changing rooms but.... sometimes it can be a nuisance. For instance last Sunday I arrive at my local club, I'm the only female there at that time. I get undressed to an audience of 5 single guys already naked/towels. Yes that was slightly annoying but another 2 females turned up 10 mins later.

I don't really see the point of separate ones either, when I'm in a club there's no difference between what I'm wearing in tje changing room or club. In fact, probably less in tje club as I'll have taken off my coat and outside clothes. You don't walk around a club with a do not touch barrier around,so I can't see what's different in the changing rooms tbh. Chams has men and couples/women together, what's the difference if it's a man in traditionally female clothes?

At AbFabs/Kestrel there is a common locker room where everyone changes. Same at S Private club

I don't have any issue with a TV changing in front of me just as I don't have any with a guy changing in front of me. And in my experience, TVs are very respectful of women and frankly, most have little or no sexual interest in women

Well there are 2 issues being discussed here. One which changing rooms TVs should use, and the other whether there should be separate changing rooms for men and women. Some people feel it's unnecessary being that we'll all have our clothes off together anyway. But others will feel uncomfortable. According to this thread I'm in the minority with my discomfort with unisex changing rooms. I suspect there are others who feel that way, and that should be respected not ridiculed or shunned. I don't understand why people feel it's so important that changing rooms are unisex in these clubs. It's not like there isn't ample opportunity once in the club for men and women to mingle.

I have no problem changing in front of anyone however i am happy to play in public rooms too so am clearly ok with people seeing my body ... people who only play in private might not be so comfortable stripping off to change in front of people of the opposite sex so i can understand why there might be a need for gender specific changing rooms

Does make it difficult though i suppose for TVs etc

The clubs i have been to with changing rooms though usually enforce a dress down policy upstairs ... so if the reason you are changing is to actually "undress" then i dont see why it matters who is in that room

With regards to the OP i am thinking the glasgow club must be their local club which has neither changing rooms or a dress down policy so I am a bit confused

Actually with me I absolutely love playing in public, and am usually in the orgy rooms when Ina club. So it's not this issue of nudity that makes me feel uncomfortable. Although I do always cover up when not in active play so maybe I do have a slight issue with nudity. But I think for me the primary reason that I'm not a fan of unisex changing rooms is that I am in a different mindset when I'm getting changed or doing my hair. I don't want to have men round me at that point any more so than I would want men round me in the gym changing room. But when I step out into the club and I am a different person, ready to be sexual and embrace a different side of me. I am not that person when I'm getting changed. To me that changing room is not part of the club and I like the divide.

I am probably similar in that i am in a different mindset while getting ready too but when i get toclub i would literally just need to change clothes ... hair/ makeup/ underwear etc would all already be in place so for me that mindset change is as soon as i walk in the door

I know I'm in a different mindset when getting dressed and made up, to be honest if a Woman or a Man is getting changed near me as long as they're getting on with their thing I will do the same.

Being on the scene as I have with the usual complications of which toilets to use dependant on the venue, it can at times be difficult, but very rarely with Women however some Gay Men certainly took offence when I used the Gents once in a Gay Pub in the Village and a very butch Lesbian in the ladies another time.

It's not usually a problem, as I go to clubs dressed and ready, make up and hair done. But if I go to the washrooms to fix my hair and makeup during the evening I would find that a bit disconcerting to do in front of men if there were only unisex washrooms. The only time I found myself in a unisex changing room was a Bristol Gardens Health Spa. I felt quite uncomfortable, but there is a cubicle which I think I will use bext time. It's not ideal, and I admit it's probably cultural prudery which even as a swinger I've been unable to get past.

My thoughts...do you really think a TV would spend what ever they do buying everything to dress,to go to a club to get a cheap thrill perv at your missus whilst dressing/changing ??

Quiet simply,a TV would use the ladies for the practicality of having more mirrors and work surfaces than a gents changing room would probably have

Honest answer is, if you're not comfortable with it, it's your issue and not theirs. As a TV they're presenting as female- although I'd expect them to dress where they wish to, I'd imagine that would be in the ladies. I personally would not have a problem with it at all. The dressing room is where people get dressed. If one particular person is crossing boundaries then that to me is a separate issue.

Yes I'm very strange. I'm happy to get my cunt out in an orgy room or in any other situation where I'm having sex. But I'm not having sex in changing room so I'm not happy to get my cunt out there.

"A club with separate male and female changing rooms???

As someone said - separate for couples and single males but not gender...

Which club is that? we will avoid....it's not supposed to be like going to the swimming baths..."

Why would you avoid a club just because changing rooms are gender specific? Are clubs not big enough for all to mix and have a nice time without having to extend to getting changed together? Do unisex changing rooms versus specific really make the difference between whether you can have a good time at a club?

No we just do not want the hassle of taking 2 bags to a club...does it not seem weird that couples are split up to get changed in a swinging club?

Yes bags is a practical reason. Hadn't thought of that one. We always turn up dressed and ready anyway. There's no way I'd allow other men in the room when I'm getting dolled up. I will only allow men to see the finished product. Neither do I wish my fantasy of a hot man to be spoilt by seeing him getting changed. Spas are a different matter. Rios has male and female changing rooms washrooms. Can't remember what we did regarding bags. Bristol Gardens is unisex and I felt hugely uncomfortable. Eurekas i think is gender specific, but we didn't use the spa there.

This is why I'd so love changing cubicles.

I arrive at clubs in a long skirt and cropped top or a nice dress but then change into something raunchy. I'm not one for wearing a micro skirt and tiny top in public. Not even under a fur coat.

I would love to retreat into some privacy and then emerge, as you say, as the finished product. Ready for a ravishing

This is another reason why I love chams, because I always stay over so I have that private changing space.

Our local club has separate changing facilities and toilets for male and female.

Where should a TV get ready ? We are not comfortable with a guy being close to Sara when changing.

Your thoughts ?? "

Maybe a lot of 'straight' men wouldn't like to change near a TV though, in case something happens??

There is a wider issue here, with what is going on in the USA,talk around 'bathroom bills' and locker room segregation. In general,I would say that what someone gets up to in a loo/changing facility is more relevant than just who they are.As long as they are behaving themselves,no problem.

Apart from that,in a swingers club there is a fair chance that you will see someones bum.Does it really matter which room of the club that is in?

I think they should be separate or cubicles for all as some people may extend the swinging experience into the loo or changing room. I don't want to see anyone bum or have anyone see mine. Why the assumption that just because you are at a swinger club, you would want to?

That is more an issue of what people are doing in those rooms rather than just who they are.

Even if you don't want to see anyones intimate bits, there is quite a chance that you are going to,in any changing area.As long as that person is not doing anything un invited with their intimate bits, does it really matter?

For me it's the mindset I'm in. I'm in a different mindset in a changing room than in a swingers club. The fact that the changing room is part of the club facilities is irrelavant to me. I also won't show intimate parts of me in, for example, the kitchen area of the club. It's not that I gave an issue with people seeing me naked, it's more the situation in which I am prepared to be seen naked. And for that matter I alway cover up when I am not playing. That is my personal choice based on my comfort levels.

It kind of sounds like a unisex changing room with a couple of cubicles with mirrors in them as an option would suit most and solve the problem ... if you are not confortable changing in front of people ... use the cubicle ... if you are not comfortable with who is changing in front of you ... use the cubicle .... if none of it bothers you ... strip off where you are

I suppose unfortunately though it actually depends on what space the club has available to accomodate the requirements of its range of users which is why some have to end up in the loos instead

I wonder who feels most uncomfortable.Someone entering a changing room appearing as one sex and changing into another.Or someone watching this process. It can't be easy for the TVs.At one point in the proceedings it is going to look like they are in the wrong room.Difficult enough in the liberated atmosphere of a club, imagine their discomfort in a more public changing area,at the gym for example.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

I have to agree that I'm also in a different mindset in the changing room and showers. To me it's neutral territory and if you want to play then there are plenty of rooms etc available. Yesterday I went for a shower, getting ready to leave. I'm joined by a couple who then proceed to shag next to me. Then the guy blows his nose several times into his hand and washes it away under the shower. I don't actually want snot under my feet

This is a pet peeve of mine. A club I go to has only recently had a shower curtain installed. Before this happened you would regularly get fellas wanking over you having a shower. This always pissed me off and they would get a mouthful of verbal abuse from me. Ffs I am only having a shower and rushing to pick the kids up. This is nothing sexual. Show some fucking respect - would these men follow me to the toilet and expect to watch. Majorly pisses me off.

OP,if you have a specific incident in the changing rooms that is for you to take up with the clubs management there and then,if their a reputable club they will deal with it.

But if you have personal issues with CD/TVs or BDSM/fetish or swingers etc who are at the club, maybe its down to you to check what event is on at the club and choose not to attend the wrong event ?!

"I'm surprised clubs would bother to have separate men's and women's changing areas.

Not sure I understand why people would be bothered about them being mixed areas.

Can anyone explain why they would want to be separate?

I have no problem changing in front of anyone however i am happy to play in public rooms too so am clearly ok with people seeing my body ... people who only play in private might not be so comfortable stripping off to change in front of people of the opposite sex so i can understand why there might be a need for gender specific changing rooms

Makes total sense

I am probably similar in that i am in a different mindset while getting ready too but when i get toclub i would literally just need to change clothes ... hair/ makeup/ underwear etc would all already be in place so for me that mindset change is as soon as i walk in the door

the other issue with bghs is that the changing area is to small it is a nightmare on a Saturday night when they are closing and everybody is trying to get changed at once

I have to say. We're not comfortable with single guys in the couples/ladies changing rooms. Or should I say the ones that follow you in. For me

TVs couples/ladies changing. They often look better than I do. But now I'm thinking why am I comfortable with other people's husbands in the changing rooms and not single guys. They're all sneaking a look. Women included.

This does sound a bit like the 'Rest Room' debacle in the USA. Sure, if we were talking about mixed changing rooms at a public baths etc, but we are not. We are talking about a swingers club!! If people are so upset they may be seen changing what are they doing at a naturist spa or a swingers club. Buy a big coat and get come out dressed for the night, or stay at home and watch One Step in the grave!!

Don't see why I should stay at home and not go to a swingers club just because I'm not keen on unisex changing rooms. I've always been a welcome addition to any swing party, always joined in the fun. I enjoy group sex, orgies, exhibitionism. In fact I probably play far more than many at clubs. It would be ludicrous for me to stop attending swingers clubs just because I don't like getting changed or doing my hair and makeup in front of men.

have to say it has opened my eyes to how people look at and perceive people in changing rooms - ive seen some people tending to keep their backs to others and if it appears theyre shy in there then surely you just respect that and leave them to it - we have found a lot of initial chatter has started in these rooms -

I don't, I arrive at a club ready, and just freshen my face and hair on arrival and at intervals throughout the night. Hopefully I can do that in a ladies only washrooms or changing room without men present.
