Only joined a week ago and finally verified today. I'm probably trying to run before I've even learned to walk. But I am absolutely clueless as to what I'm doing. I separated from my wife of 25 years about 4 years,and recently split from my girlfriend of 3 years. To say I'm pretty naïve is a bit of an understatement, I kid you not I've had to Google half of the words not people are into. I'm strictly a woman only guy, no males,TV's or TS's, sorry. I think I'd quite enjoy being invited to some of the parties (maybe). If i wanted to message a lady,what should I say,what are the No-No's. I'd be for ever grateful for any pointers from anyone. Never felt so silly.  |

Don't feel silly - we all start somewhere.
If you have been verified in a week then you have done better than most.
Just be you, be patient, be polite (but not obsequious), read the profile and join in. There are countless threads asking for advice so read through some of those too.

Welcome to the wonderful world of fab OP. Firstly, relax and enjoy. There are thousands of people on here from all walks of life so no need to feel silly.
For me/us, good manners, no text speak and a genuine interest in the person/people goes a long way. Read people's profiles and go from there. If they don't reply, don't be disheartened - women get lots of messages. Keep going and keep chatting in the forums.
Thought about trying any clubs? You can find club reviews on here. It's a good, no pressure way to socialise and meet people.

Hello, don't feel silly.
If you were married for 25 years and had another 3 year relationship you already know how to treat women I would guess. It's no different here, we're just normal people  .
Chat normally, don't be someone you aren't and you should be ok.

Be careful what parties you go to ..... as a complete newbie you may feel out if your depth .
Seems like you're looking for a girlfriend to be honest , so how will you feel if you get a meet , have sex , and the realise it was no strings ?
Be prepared to broaden your outlook , this scene can be cold and heartless at times .
Be sure this is what you are looking for .

My advice would be to start in the chat rooms. It's a bit daunting at first - but persevere - it DOES get easier... Also, read and contribute to the forums - lots of interesting, thoughtful and trivial subjects
Contrary to what you might think - people on here are generally discerning people - they don't jump into bed with everyone.
If you have any clubs or social gatherings neat you - join in. It's a great way to meet people in a social surrounding. Remember - it's not jam today.... |

The best advice I can give you is to relax. Don't be disheartened if you dont get replys to any messages you send as there are a million different reasons why you may not receive a reply and most of them will be nothing against you. Have fun in the forums too that way you will learn quicker and get to know some of us. Don't expect to get sex just look for making friends and hopefully the sex will follow. Xxx |

If you go to the UK and meets and parties section of the forum there are a few big socials coming up in the NW. These are none play socials where you ,well socialise. Great to get to know people and less daunting than full on parties. Good luck. |
