A lot of people don't like one liners I get, but what's the best way to approach a first message, it's hard having to approach everyone, seem noone seem to approach me as such so I don't know what others say, you ask some one to chat and all you get back is hi, any advice

asking people to chat is hard to reply to, i get a lot of guys asking me and i cba to start the conversation so i ignore them.

just read their profile, see what they're into. do you feel like there's something there where you could 'click' and get chatting from that?

approach with conversation in mind, unless they have a lot of cam veris and then you'll know they enjoy chatting and are probably good at starting conversations.

Thanks for you advise, I know where you are coming from but a lot of profiles I find don't say that much it seem very breif description of what they look for and not a lot say what they like they like followed by drop me a message sometime so I don't know what to send other than would you like to chat

yeah my profile used to be all about sex only really, i did add some stuff about interests so that guys could chat about that if they wanted to.

just taking a break for now, so nothing there at all right now.

Avoid one liners at all costs. If I get small talk I tend not to reply. Not because I'm rude or arrogant but because if I replied to everyone I'd be on here all day. As others have said, try and find some common ground other than the fact you are both on fab.

Be a bit creative.

Don't send the same copy pasta to lots of females (or whatever you're looking for). It shows. It doesn't impress.

Ok thanks just hard not to sound like a copy and paste message when it's the first message but something to work on thank you

as someone new to fabs myself, I've encountered all types of replies.

The irony is that a few ladies who've been specific about "no txt spk" "no one liners" "no hi, how you" often when replying add nothing more than the self same "monotonous drivel" they've specifically mentioned you're not to.....

& that's when they're supposedly interested

Ohh tell me about it you can put soo much effort into the first message to get 'hi' or 'would love to chat' then you can reply with something and just get read off or deleted soo why reply in the first place, don't get me wrong Iv chatted to a few lovely people on here, but 90 percent of the time you don't get a reply

I'd rather have a simple hi and face pic than an obvious cut and paste message that doesn't reflect me or my profile
