You don't mention what kind of advice, so here's a mixture. Firstly, write a proper profile, add some pics, and sort out your age range, (would you really meet a 99year old!!)
When sending a first message, don't be crude(in less that's what they ask for in profile) READ profiles and only message if you match what they are looking for, don't get pissy if they delete. Just because you think you might match them, doesn't mean they have to agree.
Patience is key, it could take some time before you get chatting or have a meet.
Also, bare in mind, if it looks to good to be true, it normally is (ie, man pretending to be a woman, yes it really doesn't happen)
