Morning all, we are attending a club on Friday, not a dress down but smart dress code, what are people's thought on what you should wear? It's our first visit so don't want to go too much or equally not enough, |

I wear a dress.. show off the curves, pair of heels and some nice undies.
a guy.. can't go wrong with a pair of trousers and a shirt.
Depends if you want to stand out or just blend in on your first visit. |

I normally wear jacket and waistcoat on a night out and wife in short hugging dress, just not sure if jacket and waistcoat is too much |

Leave the jacket... trousers, shirt and waistcoat is the way to go!
The wife.. spot on too |

My advice to anyone asking this is just wear what your comfortable in. Your first club visit is nerve wracking enough as it is without feeling self conscious wearing something you wouldn't normally wear.
On my first club visit i wore my old favourite dress. I've had it years and i know i feel good in it and look good too. |

That's exactly the sort of thing to wear. As others have said, I'd leave the jacket, purely as a matter of comfort and practicality - it tends to get quite warm in clubs for sone reason, can't for the life of me imagine why |
