Why oh why can't we name and shame the time wasters and fakes on here so much of our time is spent on them it's seriously so unfair on us swingers who actually want to meet people and fuck!!! Xx

To hazard a guess - I'd say it's because it would be abused!

There are some unpleasant people who would label as 'time wasters' those who simply don't want to meet them etc!

Though I do agree there are things about the site that seem unfair or not very well run!

Absolutely were a busy couple work kids life!!!! So it takes time to plan meets then to find it's just him or she knows nothing about fab!!! Admin need to look into this as it's so annoying recently xx

Exactly we need to have something for us serious swingers as it's really starting to make us want to stop!! Or at least try new sites!! We usually play at clubs least u know there actually real!!!! X but at times with life you can't always get to a club and a meet could be good but trying to find genuine couples men women is pretty tricky x

I've seen a few profiles where they've mentioned bad meets and time wasters in their actual description, along with names/dates.

That way you're not outing them publicly as such like if you was to name and shame on the forum.

Don't know if it's legit or a loophole in the site rules..

My Mrs was on this site, wanted to get to know people for safety before meeting. A vast majority of the guys who claimed they liked to "take time" or were "not pushy" Would ask her to meet before even messaging twice & then brand her a fake or timewaster if she didn't. Making her basically stop using the site. So yes, as the other woman said, it would be abused.

I've been called a timewaster because I turned a guy down but I've also suffered from people who send loads and loads of msgs then don't turn up.

You can report them but you don't receive any feedback from the site.

I accept you can't name and shame , as people would abuse it, but there must be a way serial offenders can be outed.

It would be nice to get some feedback/suggestions from the site as this is a regular topic in the forums.

let someone else deal with all the newbies & non verifieds, yes there are genuine people amongst them but the proportion of fakes/fantasists is far higher so let someone else deal with it.

If dealing with couples, check for recent veris & ask to talk to the female or ask for a webchat etc. Just to confirm her existence.

Won't get rid of them all but might cut the odds a bit..

Just my opinion but you won't get any help from the site that will mean fewer members, after all 23,000 online even of 10,000 are messers looks better than 13,000 online when you are trying to sell advertising..

It would harder to police than it currently is. As some have said, it's open to abuse.

Example: You exchange a few emails, arrange to meet, book your hotel, take a day out of your life, turn up at the pre-arranged place, they don't show. Log on to check your emails and find that the person you were supposedly meeting has given you a negative, pre-empting the one you were going to leave.

Maybe you should take more responsibility yourself in searching instead of assuming its the sites failure and for Admin to sort out.

The site can only do so much to stop it - since it's free to sign up, and cheap to join, anyone can create a profile and collect photos.

The key thing here is that Fab is very cheap - there are other sites that are way more expensive that have way less fakes.

Isn't this what the verification system is for?

If someone has no verifications then simply walk on by and don't risk wasting your time?

If the veri's are old then maybe weigh up the risk and make a decision.

We have a couple who repeatedly send friend requests despite never messaging, their pictures are all 3 years old and they have no veri's, doesn't take a genius to figure out we might be wasting our time with them.

Had a couple recently who's pics were mostly lifted from lingerie outlet websites, so I said the pics seemed fake, they called me a fucking idiot and said that they are a lingerie model and then blocked me therefore proving beyond all doubt that they are fake.

See if they actually were a lingerie model and had used images of themselves that can be found elsewhere on the Internet they would have been more understanding of my concern, in fact they probably would have been expecting someone to say it and would have been prepared if it came up.

Also the model was easily 20 years younger than the face pic , yet they are modelling this seasons lingerie, always look for the signs and avoiding the time wasters gets easier

I think a lot of subjects have "been done to death", however, the forum is just that... a forum for all fab members to air their opinions, experiences, and indeed, frustrations from time to time. We make no apologies whatsoever for resurfacing this topic, it is a current topic and the responses from other fab users experiencing this underlines the fact.

We learn a lot from the forum threads and will continue to do so.

In this case the lesson learned is that we aren't the only ones who are finding frustration at the moment and we have gleaned some good ideas in which to deploy further filters to prevent our time being unduly wasted.

Whinge over!!

This site is no better or worse than any other one. You just have to do your best to sift out the wastes of time and keep trudging on. I blocked a couple today because they seemed happy enough to keep friend requesting me, yet wouldn't talk under any circumstances no matter how I tried. Weird...but there you go.

We learn a lot from the forum threads and will continue to do so.

We are not time wasters etc, our time is limited, we only meet occasionally. We have found simple ways to work out the fake profiles.

Getting the ladies to chat being the major one. We have never had a no show or cancellation thankfully, a couple of rain cheques when dates don't tie up.

The worrying thing I've found lately is people using fake pics but have been verified as genuine by someone. Reported one that was on page 2 of hot pics as she had twice used pics from a German porn star woman when reverse image searched.

There are tools to help, they may not be perfect but they certainly help:

1. There is a verification system

2. You can report profiles

3. You can block people

Guess will never be solved seems not restricted to single guys I know of couple that arrange to meet 6 guys for meet then only invite 1 guy to join them,or st8 guys who suddenly become bi when there is a female involved.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
