Go to Bristol for an evening? If that's too far away, go to Birmingham.

Cities have bigger populations, so more options.

i get to a tiny place called ampney crucis close to cirencester a couple of times a year - not far from birdlip mentioned already - have family there and yes its a peaceful place but i never look for fun
