"Hi everyone,
We are looking at booking a butlins adult weekend in Skegness. Has anyone any experience of these events? "
Really depends on what you're looking for, if it's good comfy accommodation, nice evening meals in a restaurant etc then forget it.
If you're looking for a crazy weekend drinking to excess, fancy dress(optional) don't mind noises groups of women or men, getting no sleep and are happy with basic accommodation then go for it.

We are tempted by the Madness Weekender at Minehead but it doesn't tend to fall on a good weekend for us. I have been invited on a few girls weekends there but always turned them down, from the people I know that go and the reputation that precedes them it's not my cup of tea, surrounded by rowdy d*unk people is not my idea of fun. But for those that don't mind that I'm sure it's a great weekend |

They are billed as adult weekends but that's really to keep children out, it's not in my experience a swingers weekend although people do let their guard down and get it on so to speak mainly music themed and tend to be good weekends. |

Have been to Minehead & Skeggy for the folk festival, alternative festival & shiiiine on festival. Better to go as a group & share an apartment to keep the cost down. We've had great fun at all of them, they're like a normal music festival without the rain & mud & warmer accommodation!!
They are called adult weekends because they don't allow kids, they are not swinging weekends lol, you may get swingers there like us however we're there for the music & the vibe. If we do meet people & play that's a bonus we certainly wouldn't miss our fav band for some fun. |

Going to skegness in may and October, going with a few other swingers.
Plenty of drinks flowing and if any energy left after all the dancing then fun may just happen. |

I've been to Skeggy Bootleg Ball last few years, great weekends, great music and if you get a little fun then all well and good. Have organised a little social gathering on the Friday for FAB people attending but the view was always to just say hello and we all did tend to meet up for drinks throughout.
As others have said, if you don't mind crowds of d*unks (i got up for breakfast one year and people were already drinking in the central area), basic accommodations and a distinct lack of sleep then go for it.....excellent all round! |

Adult weekends are great fun, whenever I have gone its Good to join in and dress up too- if your in a group think of a theme
Adults being fun with the freedom to just be adults, is my best description.
So plenty of swinging type activities take place too lol. |
