a couple of weeks to get to know someone, exchange numbers for a phone chat and then meet...
any longer and it starts to stretch out..and invariably not happen |

No, because meeting is person usually either confirms you like each or don't, everyone can say no thanks at any time, and I have done often  |

Absolutely not. The whole point of a social first is to see if there is any attraction. Either can say they don't want to take it any further at any point. |
