"Even using filters we still get a lot of message (most seem fake) but them we loose track of the people were actually chatting to x"
Maybe put a line on your profile sating that so many messages cannot all be answered so please don't be offended if the message isn't read or not replied to (Some folk can take it personally on here even though the forum rules and advice state they shouldn't) |

I have the same problem. I wrote on my profile clear conditions for which I will reply to messages and people still don't listen lol. The way I've done it is to ask people to invite me as a friend then tell me about it by asking them to put friend request in the subject line. I then have my e-mail notifications let me know when I receive messages and invites then look at my e-mails to see if message notifications and friend invite notifications tally. The ones that haven't sent me an invite or told me about it in message get deleted.
I know its a bit complicated but its just now starting to work for me lol! Good luck X! |

"It would be good if you could set up your own folders to keep track of the one's your currently speaking to, but alas the site does not take good suggestions on board "
Isn't it easy to look at your email inbox, to see the notification from Fab, and spot a message from someone you're interested in, before you log in here? |

not if you get 92 'hey' in one day you can't. it will say the person who sent the first 'hey' sent all the rest.
and yes i know from experience. |

Are you crazy?
If we had email notifications on it would be even worse |

haha I know it's crazy. As soon as you've read one, replied (or not), deleted and ready to move on to the next another one comes so you can't get to the bottom. What I do is start at the bottom and work up (no pun intended), it's a time consuming way but works. Some get really inpatient though. |

We might get one a day, sometimes none. With heavy filters in place and a profile that says we only get to know knew people at parties, we've managed to get our messages to a minimum. |

I have a quick scroll to see if any messages are from my friends/hotlist, or any that catch me eye. The rest get bulk deleted. It's not physically possible to reply to every single message. |

"I do think it would be easier if there was an option to delete by the page rather than individually."
I think you can delete all the messages at once if you press on menu |

I get a message around Tuesday and maybe another one Saturday(ish) my advice is to organize them and read them one at a time |

I've blocked everyone from messaging me. I do my own searches and message the ones I'm interested in
Working really well for me
A tip from one of my faves xx |

We try to be ruthless and delete as we go and just friends request people of interest to get back to (like yourselves obviously) if the message is unrelated to what we have asked for in our profile it gets binned |

I have just blocked all and message people I want.
Previously I had filters for people with no pics, no ladies, no CD , certain age men only etc.
Then when I was chatting to men, I would put a note on their profile to remind me of specific things that interested me , or memory jog items.
I maybe in my 50s and not as popular, but I don't understand how anyone gets 1000s of messages. If you delete and block anyone who is a pain and use your filters to only hear from a specific group....surely you cannot get daft numbers. ?, |
